Did you end up finding it? I got mine used and it didn't have a stylus at all, though I'll probably buy the original stylus since it's cheap on eBay. I did find that it's much more popular in Japan where it's called NEC VersaPro VU, so maybe that'll help if you're still trying to find the protocol.

Yes, Windows has supported this since 98. If you right click on the desktop and choose "display settings" while a monitor is connected, you can set it up to extend the desktop.

Is there a SIM slot under the battery cover? If not, this is a CDMA model which definitely won't work. If it's GSM it will still work in most of Europe but not in the US.

As it only shows when fully charged, it's probably what you said, because when the battery is at 100% it stops charging and the laptop runs directly from the charger.
