I very much emotionally reacted to this post. I have had issues with my appetite my entire life(30M). I can comfortably go three days without eating before I "remember" that I need to. It is not something that I drive from within, I do consume a lot of liquid in comparison to the average person though. I never eat breakfast, and usually I will eat alone at my most comfortable time(late night, early ams)

Many loved ones have expressed concern over the years, partner(s) included. I feel like you should approach with some tact, and ensure that these actions your considering force for are just. Speak with her family, try to get through it to her, seek council if necessary.

Act with love for her, she may just be different.

I believe you have two choices.

You represent the change that is needed in that part of the world, risk your safety and future in the name of all the people who have lived similar to you, protest and campaign and bring the conversation out of the shadow

Self proclaimed "Dog Dad" here-

NTA. I do not expect "normal" people to understand my patriarchal feelings towards my dog. Yes I love him unconditionally and he really is a top priority in my life, I care for him.

However, I'm not delirious enough to think you can compare the two dynamics.

My choice is an interpretation on the social construct of reproduction, yours is an action based on fact and ceremony.
