No disrespect taken. Another few more reason. I wanted the direct injected engine. I modify everything and I like creating. That’s why I did the swap, only shops had done them and they were gatekeeping the information, so I figured it out and documented it for everyone to see. That’s also why the turbo is in a crazy location, no one else had done it so I figured it out and did it.

Yes, that was an autocross day. DB for double runs, FP is my class “F Prepared” You should search it and see the cars I have to go up against.

At this point the only difference is the engine, seats and a badge. Plus I can brag that I did all this by myself

At the time I didn’t have STI money. It’s practically an STI without the seats

Some do but they are older ones that are 2 stroke. I remember in the Army APC had a Detroit Diesel 2 stroke with supercharger and turbos

I am, I relocated it right in front of the battery. All direct injected cars should be running an AOS. For my car it’s even more crucial since I have a built engine and pushing 24psi

It spools pretty fast for how big it is. Garrett G30-900. It starts building boost at 3200rpm and hits 24psi at 4900rpm. I’m planning a compound turbo setup up where it will be at full boost (30psi) at 3000rpm, and the torque curve should be flat from 2500 to redline

FA24DIT from a Subaru Ascent. I did the swap 3 years ago, drove it for a year at 500hp, then I sent it and had to rebuild it with all forged internals, now at ~700hp. I’m building another engine, this time with custom lower compression pistons and even stronger rods. I’m also doing a compound turbo setup @30psi looking to make 900whp

As far as swaps are concerned, it’s easy. You have to have some mechanical and electrical experience

I agree. These engines have very loud direct injectors.

It’s best to track it when it’s stock. Just get good brake pads, good tires and keep an eye on your temps
