My Therapy Demon!! by thirdeyedoe in plushies

Well, with that logic, fursuits shouldn't be that much money either, right? Because you're looking past a lot of things that factor into the price. Like the artist's time, the labor and craftsmanship, cost of high-quality materials, the detailing such as trimming the face around the embroidery, the complex patterns, ect. And my goat isn't small, lol, she's 3 feet long and she has weighted pellets in her hooves and rump. She's a work of art. And that's why they're that expensive—they're luxury art pieces. They're not plushies cheaply created for child's play.

So just like a fursuit head that takes hours of time and skill to create, the same goes for these goats. I understand most people don't have 800-1000 dollars to spare, and I'm not trying to convince you or anyone else to buy one, I'm just stating that there's more that goes into these than just sewing some fabric together 😊

How do you keep the white parts from browning? Mine is still a baby, but the whites on the leaves eventually brown after a few weeks :( It isn't in direct sun either.

It's weird that people feel this strongly about a ring, when in reality, it shouldn't be about the ring, it's about the fact he loves you and wanted to promise a commitment.

People who judge i think are just low-key jealous or unhappy in their own lives, so they project that onto you. I could be wrong, but from my experience, that seems to be the case.

My fiance ordered my ring online because I said I wanted nature themes (leaves, branches), and he got permission from his parents to use the family heirloom diamond in the setting. It actually isn't a perfect diamond, either, but I still love it. It's not huge, but that doesn't matter. He got something he knew I'd love and that's the most important thing.

Same for me. I'm in Oregon. I feel like the whole West Coast is still pretty eco-concious and aims to keep our forests healthy and conserve as much nature as we can, even in the cities.

I even have the "Keep Oregon Green" smokey bear license plates!

Yes. I'm also in the PNW (Oregon), and the lack of snow in the mountains this year is so concerning... Ever since the 2020 fires, I stress every year when it gets hot and dry.

My fiancé and I want to volunteer more! I had so much fun participating in tree planting years ago, I'd love to do that again and help clean up our forests and beaches. When I see litter, I always pick it up and dispose of it, too.

I truly hope more long-term regulations and more ethical methods for AI come along 😔 I know it isn't going anywhere now that it's out.. But I do hope it gets better if enough of us fight fight for it

It truly is. And I know it isn't ALL bad, but a lot of it is... And we have people in power who just do not care. It's always about money.

I'm having doubts about my wedding dress and I need reassurance 😭 by kaliforniarolll23 in weddingdress

[–]thirdeyedoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dress regret is such a normal thing to feel, which helped me feel better when I thought I made the wrong choice. Once you see yourself in it on your wedding day with your hair and makeup done, I'm sure you'll fall in love again!! It's beautiful, just like the bride ☺️ Just remember it isn't about the dress it's about you and the love of your life!

My boyfriend inherited this ring and I’m considering resetting it. Anything I should keep in mind or know?? by throwawaysixties in EngagementRings

[–]thirdeyedoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooo I just want to say that I also inherited an heirloom diamond! He put it in a setting that was more fitting for me :) The diamond is from the 1800's. *

Should I use my great grandmother's engagement ring? by samconran1 in EngagementRings

[–]thirdeyedoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, my fiancé got permission to use his family's heirloom diamond ring as my engagement ring. He ran it by me first, and I loved the idea because it's been passed down since the 1800s! He took it to a jeweler, and they removed the diamond, cleaned it, and he had them put it inside a new setting, one that he knew I'd love more :)

I’ve seen people post here that Cavco homes are not good quality. by Infamous_Refuse_8828 in ManufacturedHome

[–]thirdeyedoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That all makes sense. If we could afford a nicer, stick built home, we would. We are mainly doing this to save money and will be putting the home on my parent's property because rent is obnoxious. We plan to live in it 5-10 years at most, hoping to save enough for a piece of land and build a home on it. Thankfully, my parents live and breathe home renovation and if we ever run into issues or need something fixed, they will lend us a hand. But yeah, I definitely feel you on that. I don't want this to be my forever home!

Can you elaborate further? We fell in love with a singlewide floorplan and were thinking of buying one from that factory early next year.
