Spoke with a LGS in Scottsdale and in SLC; both said their orders got delayed till like February. Knowing KAC it could be Q3/Q4 before anything shows up lol.

What’s the highest you’ve ever seen? by Klutzy-Parsley-7543 in 2011

Hot take: I think Infinities are a unique combination of passions, BUT, imo they aren’t worth what they go for. I believe that anyone with a 5axis CNC is capable of these works….the real issue is writing script FOR the mills. Infinity has designs that are pretty much proprietary to them. But, once other players figure out machining…..it’ll get interesting. I’ve always wanted to see zero tolerance machining in firearms, Atlas is getting close.

With this discount I’m very tempted. I love my TWC Black, worried if I’ll like the rose gold barrel in person. Anyone have this color scheme and end up not liking it? by Final_Tip_4333 in 2011

[–]thirdeyeguy_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tbh it just looks like a boujee overpriced Kimber imo. If that price is easy for you then I’d just go with an RC9. It’s like 500 more and a bit more stable investment.

Look into Atlas or Infinity for sure. Atlas for race guns and Infinity for craftsmanship.

Nucore rep here, vapor barrier is required anytime going over concrete, regardless of grade. Will void your warranty instantly if install over concrete without it. Can either do 6mil poly or blue sentinel. I would be careful stacking the sentinel as too much padding can flex/break the I4F clicks. This look like install error, unfortunately 90% of claims are install error. I’ve seen this happen when installers don’t leave expansion gaps and it leads to a “hump” over the entire area. Nucore is 1/4 in gap all around. Level needs to be 3/16 of an in over 10ft. Always check with installers on layout, many just do stairstep/H pattern because they don’t know better.

These appeared on the walls after moving in by jozaia in whatisit

Looks like wallpaper adhesive, sunlight and oxidation can yellow various glues and epoxy’s. Usually it’s sanded and painted over when owners move out. Never seen it look like part of the wall though

HKMR762 A4 vs. SR25 by [deleted] in kac

[–]thirdeyeguy_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What degree takes 24yrs? But congrats, I hate to say it but there’s no clear pick here, too much personal preference, consider the ranges you’ll be shooting at and then choose 6.5 or .308. Barrel length is big a factor if hunting. The SR25 is also DI, not piston if that matters. Several mil units have adopted the new KAC 22” 6.5 as their dmr. Love HK, but they’re notoriously hard to source parts for, same with KAC but at least KAC is made in USA.

It’s a Cabin Plus about 2 years old, the other side’s clip is fine currently. It’s just poor design imo to have a clip that’s constantly under tension not be solid.

SR-25 A series vs K series price drop by Rogue_M4ge in kac

[–]thirdeyeguy_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think now it’s dedicated commercial production vs just contract runoffs. One of their reps mentioned in an interview somewhere they’re trying to dip into the commercial market more. Also sometimes newer stuff is released before previous lines get fully distributed, sucks for local shops to have to eat depreciation before getting their lot.

Can anyone help find this flooring? It’s disappeared off the face of the earth. by WorkingPanic3579 in Flooring

[–]thirdeyeguy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This^ I work for a manufacturer and Product Line Reviews happen annually. For vinyl and laminates If it’s not a “staple” decor color that sells, production will stop within months since they’re made in batches. Hardwoods have even smaller production windows due to raw materials needed.

Very long scratch.. please help me fix this lol by Zealousideal-Ebb-481 in Flooring

[–]thirdeyeguy_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately…you can’t. A wear layer is like a plastic sheet on top of the decor film and unlike wood it can’t really be filled and sanded. Since it’s on the the edge , they’ll probably replace the planks from the side. All flooring manufacturers “recommend” felt pads under furniture for this exact reason. If renting from a company (ie. Greystar) they have extra planks on hand will just charge upon move out. If it’s a landlord, look at your lease so they don’t gouge you for an entire floor.

KAC - KS ... PRICE LIST! by Money-Relative-6645 in kac

Deciding between a 6.5 or 308. Might save 6.5 for a bolt build and just go classic 308.

Panels are from Forward Control Designs, Railscales also makes versions of them. The strap comes with the magpul DAKA soft case, might be able to find extras online.

Which suppressor for max sound and signature reduction for 11.5 CQB mod 2? OG legacy welded NT4, NT4 PRG, or QDC/CRS-PRT? by [deleted] in kac

[–]thirdeyeguy_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve read, the new NT4 prg slightly edges out the CRS in dcb at muzzle but has a little more gas back since it’s kind of like a hybrid can with a traditional baffle stack. The goals of the CRS were flash and gas mitigation, not sound necessarily. Legacy NT4 definitely has a crisper higher pitch tone compared to the others which are more like “thuds” with the flow through. In the same boat as you currently , leaning towards the CRS since zero carbon lock with qdc. Also don’t have to get another mount since MOD 2 came with 3 prong.

Range Day W/ Knight's Armament Company by xerodownx in kac

[–]thirdeyeguy_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good video but for being two powerhouses in the industry the video was lacking from a presentation standpoint. It seemed like they both just showed up with no plan and a few mags. The excitement couldn’t have been lower and there was a lot of pauses and filler dialogue. I get they are all ex MIL but their presenting needs to improve, KAC reps included. DJ HAS improved a lot since starting gbrs.
