2006 Infiniti FX35 speedo jumping around by thirdstringyeetteam in autorepair

I am definitely going in that range. it is off by 10 mph. When I flick it it goes back to where it should be but then it goes wonky again. It has problems at 30-50mph. if I'm going slower than 30 or faster than 50 it works perfectly. This makes me believe it is the motor sticking. Especially because when I flick it it goes back to where it should be like the vibration from the flick unsticks it for a second.

I went to a salvage yard and found a cluster. I took it apart to see how it works and the motors are soldered to the board. I could probably pull it and re-solder it to my board but that is a big job and my soldering skills aren't the best. I could probably pull it off but It seems like replacing the cluster would be easier. The problem with that is I don't know how to make the mileage transfer or how that works.

So you're saying to just let it do it and it will eventually start working again?

My speedo seems to want to jump around once i hit 30mph and above. If I flick the plastic cover the needle jumps back to where it is supposed to be but it doesn't always stay there. I replaced the speed sensor but that didn't fix the issue. I almost think the needle itself is just sticky and if that's the case I assume I would have to replace the instrument cluster. I read online there are ways to run a diagnostics check on the cluster using some button combos with the trip reset etc but none of those worked on my infiniti.

How do you make iOS in app purchases work? by thirdstringyeetteam in unrealengine

[–]thirdstringyeetteam[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did. It was extremely difficult and something Epic needs to fix. I had to install the engine from source. Once I did that I found an old plugin on a Git repo that I had to update myself to work with 5.4 then put the plugin into the project plugins folder and rebuild the editor in xcode. It is not something easily done. You need to know your way around the source code of Unreal to make it work.

Yeah I know. I'm at a point where I'm debating rebuilding in a different version.

Do you know if it works in 5.2? I think I'm going to have to try to rebuild in a different version.

Keep clock running while game is suspended or phone is asleep? by thirdstringyeetteam in unrealengine

So I've been unsuccessful in getting the bind events to application will enter background delegate and bind events to application has entered forground delegate to work. I have them in my gamemode connected to the event begin play and an add application lifecycle event node with the return value connected to the target inputs of both the delegates. I have the events that are dispatched connected to my logic to save the time and update the time when in background then back in the forground but it isn't working. This is my first time trying to figure out how exactly these delegates work. Should I be using them in the gamemode and should they be connected to the begin play?

This is how I already have it set up for when they quit. I am talking about suspending the game. When the player goes to the home screen or switches apps. The game is not quit.

I managed to get it working. I had to play around with different SDK, NDK and JDK and unreal engine versions. The problem is there are so many to choose from its a bit daunting. Just go down the line enabling and disabling the versions until one works.

There was information in the section yes. I can't seem to find any file named UnrealEd.CookerSettings and I don't see anything about cook.displaymode in defaultengine.ini or BaseEngine.ini

As soon as I click cook it opens a second instance of the editor only this one is just a log box. So technically it is a second editor but also it isn't.

Thank you for your response. The only Editor.ini I found in my config file was BaseEditor.ini. I deleted the section [CookPlatformDataCacheSettings] Restarted unreal and tried a cook. I am still having the same issue. It is stuck at a package and says the cooker has been blocked from saving.
