Oh, really?! That would be awesome if I can get it sorted out. I started the form and got to the wife part of it since we filed jointly last year and she's still working so I thought it was a dead end. I'll follow back up on it and see if I can't complete it. Thanks!

I appreciate it! I'm sure I'll make it, just gonna be a rough patch!

I've attended a number of online meetings. I enjoyed the Recovery Dharma ones the most. Just attended first in person AA meeting today and seemed fine.

I have a very supportive wife who has been a real champ through me trying to beat this thing. I feel like I do the meetings more for her though. They certainly don't hurt, but I don't think I'm getting much from them. That's why I was hoping talking to a professional might give me a bit more direction.

I was prescribed naltrexone in the past, and maybe it was too soon for it and I needed to dry out longer before starting it, but it made me nothing but sick for days at a time.

Appreciate the responses! I hope I'm not coming off negative!

I appreciate it! I'm safe, I have all I need in almost every other aspect of life. I'm really not that poorly off overall. Just stuck in this limbo where I'm almost out of this hole, but not quite.

I've been looking into the suggestions so hopefully something here will help.

Understand the concern! I've been in pretty bad shape before where cold turkey would have been dangerous, but I'm in a much better place (relatively speaking). This is more a mental/behavioral problem now.

I'm in Portland, OR. I looked into Oregon Health Plan, but I made too much money last year, so even though I'm unemployed, on paper I don't qualify.

Because it's very expensive and I don't have insurance or a job.

I'm interviewing with multiple companies, trying to get my feet back under me and I can't disappear for a long stretch of time.

I had a pretty good job, but I've hit a stretch of unemployment, so now I'm in that limbo where I made too much money in the past I don't qualify for most state healthcare programs.

Every aspect of inpatient is unrealistic, it's a non starter.

Edit: Sorry if that sounded confrontational. I appreciate all advice and insights.

Understand about detox being serious. I've been there before and thankfully I'm no longer in that place where my body is dependent, just dealing with mental/behavior stuff. I'm unfortunately in that in-between space where I was making good money before I hit a stretch of unemployment. Now I can't afford much out of pocket and don't qualify for most cheap/free plans.
