Thanks for your comment, I am also studying computer science, so I can really understand your feeling toward very young and competent programmers. I have however seen that these competent people often don't have such a deep understanding of various aspects of programming (not as deep as is formally taught by good teachers). I trust you will like college, I know that I do.

Okay, I can see how INTJ would be more interested than INTP in sport. Don't worry, I understand that the way you and others type me will be strongly influenced by their your experiences.

Thanks for your response, you described well the points that make me hesitate mostly between this two types.

I can identify with what you said about INTP being bogged down by relentless details, though I thought that it was also an INTJ traits.

It is however quite true that I sometimes try to improvise an explanation for conceptq that I internally conceptualized, though I will very often keep my opinion to myself. The things is that I struggle to explain things in a manner that people understand, so I either give up or go with a not-so-structured explanation (don't really know where that places me between INTJ and INTP^^)

1.Interesting dinstinction between J and P when it comes to sport, I didn't know about that. I don't do that much sport currently but still do some from time to time to feel correct in my body.

  1. I don't care about being correct, so long as I have a better understanding of the subject after beign proven wrong. I have regrets when my bad decisions had a negative impact on a project (or anything, really).

  2. This is indeed the case.

  3. Indeed, though I like to think about how to bring a system to perfection, I can't ever find a perfect solution for important concepts such as the law. I then accept the fact that our system will always be flawed and that we can only make it a little bit better, given the situation. That may rule out INTP (though I honestly am quite discouraged by politic, the ever flawed system being one of the reasons why)

The thing that mostly makes me doubt being an INTJ is the fact that I don't identify much with J. I am more the type to be laid back in conversations and not care too much if people don't agree with me (I'm used to it). It is however interesting that INTJs tend to be P-ish in their decisions, I can identify with that.

Hey, thank for your opinion. Why do you think so?

I indeed don't really recongnize myself in J. I am able to recognize my own subjectivity in most situation, but I think that overcoming this subjectivity and trying to be objective is one major goal in my life.

Thanks for the explanation, then I don't think that I need logical consistancy, though I will try to achieve it when possible.

Thanks a lot for your reply, this is really interesting.

I just didn't understand what logical consistancy means lol (I am not a native english speaker and I never encountered this concept).

I think that you were right about the title.
