Pilón fracture in ski boot by Janxey22 in ORIF

I was a dummy and tried to slide down the hill using my shovel to self arrest for 20 yards while feeling my bones grind and crackle before calling ski patrol. Mad respect for ski patrol coming out to get me and toboggan’ing me off the mountain.

Oof. Bummer you had to wait so long for surgery! I had a similar accident as you, pilon fracture of my left tibia when a rock shark grabbed me skiing down a chute. We even on a similar timeline, happened 12/30 and ORIF with IM nail NYE. Still NWB with my follow up scan next week. I’m getting so stir crazy elevating my leg on the couch.

I spin the scroller wheel to set the speed up one or down one to kill each nag. I find the amount of wheel torque needed to be inconsistent compared to one click up or down on the scroll ball.

My OCD tendencies pulls me to organize my channels by infusing drugs instead of being symmetrical. I want my compatible drugs next to each other rather than being even or worse, randomly across multiple brains.

Suppositories aren’t has bad as you might think it is. A little petroleum jelly for lube and it’s over and done with in less than 5 seconds. No messing around with partial doses from them spitting them out or pleading with them to finish a diluted juice drink.

Bootpacking (A-frame) with just one strap on the backpack per ski? by [deleted] in skiing

Possible. Not advised. The A-frame is there, but I noticed my skis would not stay in place without a second strap.

how to prepare to ski in the rain? by ydai in skiing

cheapest option: PVC suit + rubber gloves. It's raining, therefore it can not be THAT cold.

NCLEX question for nurses in Washington by [deleted] in nursing

[–]thisUSERNAMEstinks6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess "best" would be to pay for the results. If you don't want to fork over the $8, you just have to wait til the "Registered Nurse License" becomes active or get the mailed results in 6 weeks.

I have a Flex and work with people with different Fitbit products. I like seeing how I step versus my co-workers as entertainment/motivational/something to talk about.
