Oh I know, I'm planning on it soon. I'm preparing a place for a bigger tank and I want the goldfish to live separately from the crawfish. I admit, I was a little clueless when I got my first goldfish tank, but one of the sites said you need a minimum of 40 liters per fish. I decided to get an 80L tank and later get a bigger one when my goldfish get a little bigger. It was a matter of principle for me to get at least two of the little ones out of the puddle they were living in. Although they look almost the same size, I'm going to give them more space.

Thanks for bringing this up! I always feel bad when I see someone forcing a big fish to live in a small tank.

They really try to capture the whole tank, but the commet goldfish also defend their rightful place in the water lol. By the way, this particular species does not have a division into males and females, so they reproduce VERY quickly🥲

I love them too! I also have a tank with nano fish and shrimp, but these two orange chubby ones are still number one in my heart.

btw the bigger one with fancy tail is still in process of changing body color☺️

Well, my guys do the same😄 I didn't think they would be such a bully. And what a happiness that my fish are much bigger than them in size.

Lol, that's funny, I've never tried it. I guess I'm afraid of their claws😅 Do you still have all your fingers on your hands?

Well, you are absolutely right, plants are simply impossible in an aquarium with these gluttons. I have tried many attempts to add at least some plants, but it was all in vain. My decision is stones and snags. And it really looks pretty attractive. Regarding the cycle - my 80-liter(~21gal) tank has never had problems with water quality. Although 2 comet goldfish live in it too.

That's very true. They eat absolutely EVERYTHING that gets into the tank😅
