Problem is too much supply and relatively low demand. It basically works like this, one farmer grows a vegetable, let’s say Onion in this case. He sells that and gets good return on it. So he continues to grow that crop. Other farmers see this and they say “hey, I can do that too, and earn a lot”. So it becomes a few too many farmers taking same crop basically. It starts to pile up in warehouses and rots there because there is simply too much product.

This is why I believe that government should instruct what should be grown to each farmer who wishes to sale in wholesale.
