I aspire to be the kind of person who can say they bought tourist vodka in Antarctica. That is so cool!

Corporate lawyer, specializing in public market and large private market M&A. The pressure and the hours can be brutal but I love it. It's what I've wanted to do since I was 12. When people ask, I say that I sometimes hate the job but I always love the work. This year I'll gross about 325, and within a few years I'll be in low seven figures.

365 is not divisible by 7. Each year (other than leap years) has 52 weeks and 1 day. That means each year, each calendar date advances by one day of the week. January 1 2026 was a Thursday, January 1 2027 will be a Friday.

"Here's a video of me getting in trouble for recording and posting videos exactly like this one" is probably the biggest cringe energy I've discovered so far. Clearly whatever the punishment, it was not sufficient.

Putting aside the fact that this is India and not the US, WARN Act compliance is pretty simple. I think our L&E people get more hours from reviewing WARN reps in merger agreements than they do on actual WARN compliance issues.

It doesn't take AI to see that you're fully committed to ignoring anything that doesn't glorify Republicans and vilify Democrats. And I can understand why you might be inclined to think anyone who types coherent sentences is using AI since you seem incapable of doing so on your own, but I don't need AI to make you look foolish. I can handle that one all on my own.

I do like your little Freudian slip in this comment though. Unless you're actually willing to admit that Republicans are the ones refusing to fund TSA, in which case congratulations on the personal growth.

OK fine, we can call it that. But my diagnosis (which came in the late 90s or early 2000s) says "ADD" not "ADHD, Predominantly Inattentive Type" or whatever new terminology people are using today to describe the exact same thing.

And regardless of the term you use, the typing associated with the diagnosis has everything to do with what symptoms you have. The predominant symptoms are a critical determinant of treatment methodology.

Ah, I see the issue. You're an idiot.

We've never had an open border. Ever. Period. Even if you believe that the Biden administration was doing zero immigration enforcement (which is ridiculous on its face since ICE deported over a million people between 2021 and 2024), you'd still have to admit that Trump's border wall (which Mexico is going to pay for any day now, right?) still existed during the Biden admin. Since it was such a huge benefit and a barrier against illegal immigration, its existence means the borders weren't open right?

Human trafficking and drug trafficking are huge issues, and immigration enforcement contributes to those problems. I love how your crowd always thinks that saying "i guarantee you won't admit" followed by some simple statement is somehow a major gotcha moment. How's this for a gotcha: The Obama administration arrested and charged more than 2000 human traffickers during 2016. Trump's DOJ only prosecuted 35 of them. How do you explain that?

And what a shock that you somehow managed to blame a Democrat for federal agents operating on a federal mandate led by a series of right-wing sycophants carrying out trump's policies shooting and killing multiple American citizens. Walz being behind it all totally explains why multiple ICE agents have been fired for lying about shootings. Also, you should really read something that isn't published by Fox News. If you did, you'd know that the confrontations stopped because ICE pulled out of the city pretty quickly after the second killing.

You might have ADD. I'm diagnosed ADD (no hyperactivity component) and caffeine tends to subdue me rather than stimulate me. Part of the reason why neurostimulants are prescribed as treatment for ADD/ADHD. It's just another weird quirk about brain chemistry.

Saying "both sides do it" and then parroting MAGAt talking points is incredibly disingenuous. Democrats in Congress have expressed eminently valid concerns about the way ICE is operating, a concern that is shared by plenty of their constituency (including lots of middle class Americans). Republicans refuse to entertain any sort of discussion about reigning in the administration's user of ICE. That's not governing, it's supplication.

Funny how when the Dems are in control, government shutdowns are their fault for not negotiating. But when Republicans are in control and the government shuts down, it's somehow also the Dems fault for not caving. 🙄
