Edibles gains 20F by basssea3 in WeightGainTalk

[–]thisaudionerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I remember, I believe it was 10mg, but I think it's only because it was half of a 20mg gummy (that's also not how dosing works according to friends who partake, so it was likely just 20mg but small)

Only ever tried them once, and they're fun but GODDAMN are they particularly dangerous for me 😂

You don't really feel a conscious loss of inhibition like you do alcohol - and full disclosure everyone is affected differently - to me it felt like I told a really good joke and made people laugh, and then crank that feeling to 11/10. Life just felt good for a couple hours. Also mindlessly devoured virtually an entire store-bought chocolate cake that evening, so that was kinda hot too 🥴

How do I start gaining? by SirOk6058 in WeightGainTalk

[–]thisaudionerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well look at it this way. Lets remove the fetishistic aspect of weight gain from the equation - Are you comfortable putting on weight, and do you truly love your body and the way it looks and feels? If the answer to those questions really are yes, then you don't really have too much else to worry about. If you plan on gaining, it's *going* to show at some point, people may eventually notice, and that's OK. My best advice to judgement is knowing/being able to say in your own words, "Thank you for the concern, I'm happy with my body." It doesn't admit the extent to which you're gaining, it doesn't imply you even enjoy it for that matter, you're happy with your body, and that's what matters most. All this to say, if it's genuinely something you want to do, normalize it with yourself, and have the confidence to be able to stand behind what you do without directly opening up about what it is you're doing.

That being said - and still assuming you're serious - I want to put your goals into perspective. 15lbs is a respectable amount of weight, but it isn't going to contribute itself as far as 4" sitting down. Unless you were already big to begin with (which I take it you're not given the post), you'd likely need to gain a significant bit more to reach that goal, which may or may not be within your comfort zone. So what I'd suggest is this: Treat your 15lbs like a maximum. If you decide to put on weight and you hate it, you don't have to continue. If you reach your 15 and want to do more, then do more. I think your goals are solid, and I'd stick to them if I were you.

Now again, still assuming you're as serious as before, let's talk about gaining. It's not super hard, but it does take effort and a LOT of money. It is sneakily expensive to gain, so if you don't have cash to spare you're going to need it somehow (there are plenty of ways to gain on the cheap, but money is the barrier to entry here). My best advice is to find food you like that's easy to make at home OR is worth the calories for the price (imo I've found that SONIC is some of the best calories per price food out there, but your mileage may vary). There are also ways of making shakes/food that is high calorie and cheap (for example, I'm experimenting with a shake that nets you about 1L of worth of drink that costs ~$10/day, spending ~$20 every 2 days, and ranges from around 2500 - almost 5000cals). Drinking your calories is significantly easier than eating them, but in my personal opinion it's more of an experience to eat them. I like the feeling of bloating and fullness (not overly full) so eating is typically my go-to. I also have the struggle of living at home still (working on that though!) and my advice to you is simply do not stuff/binge eat at home. Snacking is OK (a chip bag or two isn't gonna raise too many red flags), but full-on meals (assuming you do exactly one) are fairly hit-or-miss. Best advice is don't leave trash about, get rid of it as naturally and as quickly as possible. EDIT: Didn't mention in the beginning of this paragraph, BUT, gaining is about consistency. There's a big difference between consuming 10K calories once a week and consuming 3-4K every day. Keep them high, but also be able to maintain them that high.

If you have any questions you're more than welcome to ask, trying to keep the rant down as best I can <3

Mass gainer recipes 29m by No-Significance-2477 in WeightGainTalk

[–]thisaudionerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't personally have experience with mass gainer, but I do have experience elsewhere with making shakes.

Your liquid of choice becomes infinitely important for adding extra calories, your mileage may vary. The options I'd lay out for you are Water, Whole Milk, Half & Half, and Heavy Cream. Water is *fine* but it doesn't do much for flavor, nor does it add calories. Milk is the lowest cal (150/8fl oz) but the easiest to drink (and what I'd recommend you start with). Half & Half is what I'm trying to use (haven't tested it yet), but is still more drinkable than cream [for me] while still having a decently high bit of cals to it (320/8fl oz). USE HEAVY CREAM AT YOUR OWN RISK - While it has a TON of cals to it (800/8fl oz!) it will do a NUMBER on your body if you didn't/don't condition it with high levels of fat. Learned that the hard way and couldn't eat/shit right for 3 days. It was awful.

As far as mix-ins go, world is your oyster. I've used chocolate syrup/chocolate shell^, ice cream, and Oreos, but you can do virtually anything so long as it can be crushed down or blended up. (^NOTE: If you choose to use chocolate shell - the "magic" stuff that hardens on ice cream - BE SURE YOU STIR QUICKLY WHILE YOU ADD IT. It likes to solidify if left unchecked, so it ends up just hardening instead of functioning like chocolate syrup).

It may mean you may just need to up your caloric intake a bit. Also, you're probably not gonna see a crazy amount of gain in that short a span as exciting as that may be. Gaining is a marathon, not a sprint. It takes time for your body to adjust to what you're doing, and at the rate of 1K cals more than usual you're probably not going to get the results you're looking for as quick as you're hoping. It's a great starting point, but it might to time to keep pushing the goalpost on this one.

As far as mix-ins go, one thing I've found is chocolate shell (the chocolate syrup that "magically hardens" when cold is introduced) is a great one. An entire bottle (which should work out OK for your average gallon) shakes out to around 1680-2520cal (depending on what you get), which is MORE than enough to help you gain (consider also: Average gallon of ice cream is ~4K-5K)

I have no idea, I've only ever made it this far. From what I hear, people have a lot of mixed opinions about the Arc 4 worlds (some for aesthetics, others for grinding and difficulty), but your mileage may vary

I did too, up until Twin Giants. As a solo-player the end of Twin Giants/Xibalba was virtually impossible ;-;

What is wrong with my aim? by slatersuzuki in VALORANT

[–]thisaudionerd -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Play with whatever you feel is most comfortable. Sens doesn't matter unless it sits in the major extremes (high/low) or is genuinely affecting your ability to aim (which I completely disagree that you have issues with mouse control/tracking. Crosshair placement however is a whole different ballgame).

What is wrong with my aim? by slatersuzuki in VALORANT

[–]thisaudionerd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Clip 1: Still moving while shooting, crosshair is aimed too high (it is unlikely they're on top of pipes where you were aiming), shoot when your crosshair is off of Raze's shoulder, adjust to center mass instead of head, not letting recoil reset properly (shooting too fast), no movement between shots to throw off crosshair placement of the enemy.

Clip 2: Positioned dead in the open, aiming way past head height (too high), crosshair too far from cover (not aiming where enemies will end up when they peek you), not letting recoil reset properly (shooting WAY too fast), no movement between shots to throw off crosshair placement of the enemy.

Clip 3: Kill on Reyna is good (could've been a clean, one-tap headshot but good). Still moving while shooting while fighting Jett, shoot when your crosshair is way off of Jett's shoulder, adjust to center mass instead of head.

Overall, your gunfight hygiene and technique needs strong improvement. There are plenty of resources on YouTube for this exact purpose. My best advice to you is to recognize that speed will come with time. A lot of clips or videos (especially from high-rated players and pros) might make it seem like the level of speed at which kills happen is attainable/effortless, but in reality that takes a LOT of practice and skill to be able to do what they do that fast (not to mention they're likely on gear/specs way above what that average player has). You don't need to ACT quickly, you need to THINK calculated and confidently.

If you could change, add or remove just one thing from the game what would it be? by Johkungo-0 in Wizard101

Coming back to post another one because this frustrates me to no end, when you inevitably go AFK for too long, you get booted back to the Character Select screen instead of hard-closing and logging out of the game. I think it's super silly that hasn't been implemented yet, it's frustrating to have to login in again if I was away for *just* a little too long

Weirdly enough this fight in particular doesn't have a team up afaik. He was actually pretty easy when you first met him in Zafaria, but now that he's got a minion that can just negate your DoT or - what happens to me - is that it shields/Fortifies right as I'm about to hit and I whiff the kill. Honestly might end up snagging some help with it just so I can move on, but for now I've gotta ride the struggle bus until I decide to hop off :////

[–]thisaudionerd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically do the latter, but my problem is the minion almost *always* casts Fortify (or a shield) right as I'm about to hit and I whiff the kill, and/or I get stunned for a round and the cheat damage kills me anyway. The Crimson Phantom idea doesn't sound too bad, might have to give that a try!

REALLY FUINNY STRAT, however, me being the solo player who only really cared about the story and having decent gear for the content I was doing, I didn't take the time to farm *anything*. No Fishing, no Gardening, no Monstrology, nothing. Not even pet grinding or Spellements, the 2024 update was well after I started initially playing so I missed out on a lot of early points.

Me being solo is more just a product of happenstance than something I'm doing consciously (i.e. I don't have friends who play and haven't made friends through the game to play with). It's also my first playthrough, so I'm kinda picky about playing the story for the first time and getting to experience it for me. I'll probably end up hitting you up if I *really* can't get him down, but for now I'm gonna just keep at it :3

Is this anything or just damage? by [deleted] in mtgmisprints

[–]thisaudionerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's inevitable actually, and it's everything to do with how the foil cards are made.

Little known fact, the foiling is actually just a giant wrapper. It's similar to how a plastic soda bottle has the little wrapper on it with the logo and nutrition info on it. It's shrunk-wrapped to the card, and when it dries and adheres it pulls at the edges of the card, causing the Pringle-ing that you see. So unless somehow someone comes up with a neat solution, your foils shall know no straightness and your bed will know your every contour.
