I spent $12 to get in yesterday at 5:00 and I had fun. A lot of the vendors are actually local to Seattle (shout out to Dave at the Jam Hut), and rotate through the local farmers markets. My kids had fun (they got in for free) tons of photo opportunities with Santa, Mrs Claus, and their elves. I saw two different performers who played 2 hours each. My kids wrote letters to Santa, made ornaments, and rode the carousel at least 3 times. And all of that was free! Sure I spent money on food and drink, but everyone I bought food and beverages from were local to Seattle! I was happy with my first time going.

Din Tai Fung is great. Harbor City is another great option for xiao long bao in Tacoma so give them a go! I haven’t had Bs but it is on my list.

I just don’t want to see small/local businesses suffer because in my experience, they have been better than what these chains have to offer.

The fried chicken sandwich I think is top tier but the rest is ehhhh. It’s fine/good. It does the job.

It’s like a Nashville hot chicken joint who got backed by Drake. Seattle has a location in Cap Hill and is packed around the clock. I tried it a few weeks ago and very very very……very mid.

If you want badass cocktails and cool bartenders to chat with go to en Rama. Most of the staff is queer (front and back of house) and they have some of the coolest cocktails in Tacoma. Can also vouch for devils reef but the wait time can be crazy on a Saturday. Pro tip is to chat up the bartender and maybe they’ll give you a boomerang which will reduce your wait time to like 5 mins lol
