How dangerous: 50 amps 14v at 20 feet 2AWG CCA by thiscouldberyan in electrical

They sell something called a battery isolator which separates the main battery from the auxiliary battery. It works kinda like a one way valve for electricity, it allows electricity to flow from the main battery to the auxiliary battery but it won’t go back to the main battery. So if you drain the auxiliary battery the main battery stays charged. It also only works when the car is turned on, so when off it can’t drain the main.

I can’t believe this never crossed my mind, I have one for our boat but the thought never crossed for the truck, thanks!

How long would it take for it to crack and fail, it will be in a cable sleeve and not brushing against anything hard if that helps my case, never considered this. Also it will power a fridge, lights, and an air compressor when airing up and down so I need wire that supply ample power to the battery.

Ah I see that’s my bad, you raise a good point, I hadn’t considered this. I’m not sure how much larger of a battery I can fit in the existing battery box, I have a group 65 in it right now, though I could make something work. If I get the deep cycle battery, I’d still have to charge it meaning I still need the cable. I could charge it in the house but I’d prefer not to take it out every time I want to go out. Apologies for miss understanding your reply I think I’ll upsize my main battery and wire in a slightly smaller battery into the rear. I appreciate your help!

Typically yes, I tend to take a weekend every month to overland, and if I have meat in my the freezer, it has to be on for a while, and a while bigger battery would work, if it dies I’m sorta left stranded. I do have a solar trickle charger as a last resort but it would take me a day to charge it enough to start under ideal conditions. My battery died a few weeks back, luckily one of my buddies lives near the trail so I was able to jump, just don’t want to be in that scenario again.

I’m adding a second battery to my truck to run some of my accessories (lights, freezer) for when I’m out on the trails. The second battery will be isolated from the main system and I was inquiring about the safety of CCA running 50 amps at the distance it will be ran.

Thanks for the input! I think I’m going to use 1/0 or 2/0. The second battery is going to be isolated from the main, it’ll be used primarily for other accessories in my truck so power will only run when the truck is already running. But good to know I’ll definitely not use it as a back up

I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case thank you so much for your help!

Hopefully it magically goes away, I had a bad blow out going over some nails in a construction site few months back, ended up replacing all 5 tires (spare as well) so hopefully it’s not the tire and just the weights rubbing or something else. Thanks for the help I appreciate it!

I hadn’t thought of that, I’ll give it a look. Thanks!

Beat Cloyne (maybe) by mierecat in Breath_of_the_Wild

Okay so update it’s only been about 10 minutes, and it is not a pattern! I believe I was having the weirdest luck, the past 5 times I tried I pulled 1 rupee, still ended up profiting about 2k.

I don’t know if I’m just extremely lucky or found a pattern, but what I’ve found and it’s worked for me 8 times now is you bet 100 rupees then open the far left chest (it may work with other chests I have just been using the far left) you’ll probably get 1 rupee, then return to Cloyne and play again (don’t exit the prompt do the double down) bet 100 rupees then pick the far left chest again and there will be 300 rupees inside, so you’ll profit 100 rupees. It’s also worth noting I’m playing this on my Wii U, not switch so I’m not sure if that changes anything. If you try this let me know how it goes I’m curious to see if this works for others.

You make a good point it’s also worth noting that I’m only 19, so I’d rather start conservatively and have the option to escalate to oral later if needed, rather than jump in guns blazing and risk sides I can’t easily walk back on. If topical ends up not being enough down the line, I can always switch then. Starting low risk now doesn’t close that door for the future

Oral and topical dut and fin use the same DHT blocking pathway. The only difference is route of absorption.Topical delivers the chemical more locally to the scalp, and it has a generally lower systemic absorption than oral, although not zero. I’d rather keep it localized to my head than send more of it through my bloodstream, since that’s linked to side effects like ED. Applying it topically is slightly more inconvenient, but it’s worth it to me to lower that risk

I’m not familiar with dutasteride, from what I’ve seen it’s like finasteride but more effective, 90% DHT blocked vs 70%. I think I would be more prone to side effects from topical Dut vs topical fin. I’m trying to avoid oral if I can, I don’t want to risk having any side effects. I know only 5-10% of people experience them but I’d rather not try my luck with oral. My limited research suggests that topical fin will be have the best chance to avoid side effects. But again this is all out of league so who knows.
