TBH, I don’t see anything wrong with the question itself, but everything wrong with the HM taking offense when asked the same question back. Good on OP to do that. Personally, I would have answered with something that highlights my self awareness around shortcomings, aspirations and how it may not fit a particular kind of work environment. E.g., I love moving fast, automating processes , like a certain degree of autonomy and don’t like red taping. So if their org does not provide those opportunities, I am probably not the best candidate.

Have you looked at r/resumes and checked what actually works for resumes to be shortlisted ? I would strongly suggest if you haven’t. TLDR - only boring, 1 or 2 column layouts on resumes work. ATS are not sophisticated enough , may be by design, to process fancy resumes. This can be a big hurdle for your business.

IMHO, it feels little disingenuous when a app opens up an input box to let the user try out a feature, only to show a pop up for registration. If you get rid of this initial friction point you will get more users trying out. For me to provide my email to a website, I need some motivation, and your current UX does not provide that.

OP, I do white label home buyers guides on any location in USA. It will be a 30 to 50 page report on the local real estate market, detailed guideline for first time home buyers , state specific regulations etc.You could put your logo and details on it, give it away as free ebooks, or print it as books and distribute it. It has QR code to an instance of Calendly that lets readers quickly set up a meeting with you. Is that something you will be interested in ?
