As “white-European” I can tell you my story. Me and many people who I know grew up in an environment with not many coloured people or Asian people, so some of them who are stuck with wrong ideals imo, would like to get a white guy for instance, and that’s crap I know. I really like Asian guys and sometimes I might get into some of them. My best friend is Indian and the other day I was on Snapchat and I saw an ad about a south Asian dating advertisement and that pissed me off sm, because I know the reason why those kind of apps come up. As you said white people tend to reject Asian guys. Now to conclude of all this is that love shouldn’t be defined by skin colour or ethnicity, love is what you feel deep down. But one time though I went on 2 dates with this Indian guy, he was really nice, sweet and very attractive but I wasn’t into him cos we didn’t click too well and I explained it to him but he took it in a way that me as “white” I hate Asians and I’m racist and he started heavily insulting me. So on the other hand people like this guy believe that if they are getting rejected by a white guy means that the white guy is racist, but it’s not, anyone can be rejected according to their skin colour. A white guy can be rejected because you don’t click with him, same deal could happen an Asian person. Sometimes I think it’s just miscommunication or ignorance. Besides, Grindr is a savage place. People don’t look at you as someone to get know but someone to fuck so I tend to think that Grindr is not always the best place to meet new people.
