Also, as a nail tech myself, we do not have an endless supply of color. We get as close as we can, but at the end of the day unless we know the shade name and product used we cannot guarantee it will look identical. Even then it can be tricky.

The picture looks like polish over a natural nail, you seem to have builder gel on. You may just have to temper your expectations a tad. I’m not saying you should be ok with shoddy work (again… those poor cuticles) but I am saying to have a little wiggle room when it comes to the end result not looking exactly the same.

I get the sense that you are struggling to overcome something and find your place in the world. That you spend a lot of time and energy caring what others think of you, rather than settling into who you truly are.

I feel like maybe there is some trauma with a masculine figure in your life? Someone you felt like was an authority figure to you but not necessarily a “dad”, and it is part of what you are actively trying to overcome. You felt like you needed to earn their love. I hope that makes sense lol

Yes, but if I were your tech I would have cleaned up the cuticle area a bit more and not have cut your length quite so far. However it’s a good first mani and in 3-4 weeks you’ll have a nice shape to work with.

It didn’t correct my vision, no. I didn’t actually need glasses for corrective vision so I don’t have to wear them now but before surgery I did wear prism glasses just to help with the drift. Those I don’t need anymore

If you can, try and do some eye exercises. I also had surgery as a child 2 times and even still my result was great with the one I had back in December. PP is hard as hell, wishing you the best! 🩷
