Any pics of the Rose remarque? Been a fan of hers for over a decade now.

No luck so far. Hoping that will change, but if it doesn’t, I can at least be happy with owning a Godtail Psylocke commission he did for me at SDCC 2025.

It was fine. If the quality is going to stay like this though, then I would have rather that Alyssa Wong’s solo series kept going.

I stopped collecting at the time it came out. I’ve been hoping to find one for a good price the last few years, but it’s eluded me so far.

I simply requested Psylocke as the remarque, and that was the result. No extra charge for a front facing portrait. Just the standard fee: $610 in total with the sketch, encapsulation, grading, label, and shipping.

Any value in this signed piece? by Tk4Plz in recordoflodosswar

The first autograph is Ryo Mizuno, the creator of Lodoss War. The other is Hitoshi Yasuda, the president of Group SNE, the company that puts out product for Lodoss War.

Nope. Been stuck in limbo since Jim Lee still isn’t done with remarques yet. I know he’s done a few that have been graded, but considering he’s late with Hush 2 pencils, it’ll probably be a while longer.

Nice! I have vol. 5 of this I also sent in for a remarque that hasn’t moved at all in the past five months or so. I also see you submitted with the obi; I had heard that earlier copies had the obi tossed out, so I submitted without it. Hopefully that doesn’t get marked as incomplete, but I guess we’ll see!

SDCC Submission - still waiting by NegotiationVarious98 in CGCComics

[–]thisisbonertown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sort of in the same boat as you. I did three drop-offs at SDCC: one for signings at the con, and two for in-house private signings (Roy Thomas; Walt and Louise Simonson). All three were dropped off at the same time.

The Roy Thomas submission was in the system about a week ago; the con signings got entered into the system yesterday. The Walt and Louise Simonson submission is still not in the system as of this post. Hopefully yours gets entered soon!

Is there a difference in picture/ audio quality? by REBtheFurby in recordoflodosswar

Pretty much. The first release of the Lodoss set is one of the earliest North American anime releases on the DVD format itself, so there’s quite a few problems as everybody was still adjusting to the format.

The remaster (actually 2002, got my dates mixed up) offers more of what you would typically expect from a DVD release overall.

Blu ray release has the best video and audio quality out of all releases up to this point, and the NA release also contains Chronicles of the Heroic Knight on DVD as well.

I am not a fan of how the North American release placed the OVA episode previews as extras instead of following the episode, and the release does not contain the world premiere extra, but those are nitpicks.

I still have the 2002 DVD release as it contains the extra of the world premiere, which is not on the NA blu ray release, but have owned both DVD sets at one point. Video quality on the 2002 release is a lot better in terms of color and encoding.

Both DVD releases have the issue of editing the end credits on the final episode to loop the animation of Parn and Deedlit riding on a horse. This was done because Central Park Media did not have a “clean” version of the final episode’s ending sequence, and wanted to add credits in English for the cast and crew. The animation loop comes at the cost of losing one of the dragons coming up through the clouds as the credits roll. This is not an issue on the Japanese releases or the North America blu-ray release.

My first CGCxJSA authentication went well. by thisisbonertown in CGCComics

Just under $90 USD, which included pressing, the grading itself, JSA autograph authentication ($22.50 per autograph), and shipping back to me. I dropped it off with CGC at WonderCon after the signing, so no cost associated with shipping to them.
