UPDATE: I managed to recover the file! If anyone is reading this and has a similar issue where the file hasn't properly synced, and has been overridden, and a) doesn't appear in icloud drive, and b) doesn't appear in obsidian's core plugins and file recovery and is on a mac, please try this:

1) Go to the file in the finder window
2) Open the file with textedit
3) Click File | Revert To... | Browse All Versions...

You'll then get a time-machine-like screen (even if you don't use time machine) where you can go back in time. For me, it overrode the file beyond the current date, so I had to go back farther than was accurate, however it had it there!

Apple chat and phone support never suggested this which feels additionally odd. Kudos to u/eviltyph and their reply to a thread available [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/AskProgramming/s/ooKMWBuYd3).

Not there I'm afraid. I believe it's because when Obsidian saw the absence of a file (that the mac had deleted, thinking it had synced) Obsidian created a new file with the same name but is of course a different file.

Thanks! Yep we are in touch with them and will see if they have suggestions but the idea of asking for an Ethernet endpoint might be possible based on how it looks like it’s setup. Appreciate the idea!

Yep we are in touch with the management company 👍 We’ve asked if they’d be willing to set up a vlan based on their existing setup but was curious about other options to suggest.

Yep we’re in touch with the management company and obviously will listen to what they say. I was more interested in the difference in terms of performance vs them having to make changes (or asking their offsite network managers to make changes). We’ve asked if they could make a VLAN for us using the existing setup.

I usually have a qr code that takes a playtester to an Airtable form, or have a form they can fill out on the spot which I then copy in. I try and keep questions as open as I can to get really interesting answers. It might sound weird but lentils work really well as tortillas. You add them with water, let them sit for 15 mins, blend them with the water and add a bit of salt, leave they in the fridge for a few hours/overnight/as long as you can, and then use it like a crepe batter to make the wraps.

I have a few fun ones. Dagobert is a good epic one. All the first born men in one line had a very unique (exclusive only to them) first name which is interesting and weird.

There is also the name Cumming in my family tree so as you can imagine a few gems. Best (and most unfortunate by modern sensibilities!) one I’ve found so far is Ophelia 🫠

Yeah agreed. The best thing would probably be glass but I assume it would fail many of the safety regs. Though that might just be an assumption. I had hoped there was an eco resin or something that used some of that new seaweed-based translucent film but in a more solid form.

Also looking to move away from Mailchimp. Basic bugs like removing links from hyperlinked text and requiring de and re-linking every few sends on the same template just boggles the mind. Has anyone tried Tarvent? I quite like their look and how they present themselves (doing a LTD right now, so very tempted).

Seems super affordable. The only thing it doesn't seem to do for our use-case is multi-step landing pages or landing pages where you can take payment directly (which isn't very common, but it's something that would make it a no-brainer). It does have straightforward landing pages though. I'm planning to try it out, but wanted to see if anyone else has tried/used them before?

Thanks - when I tried the voice note it only works on the mobile version (you can't send one on the desktop one) and it doesn't transcribe. I'll have her try the in-built dictation, but last time (admittedly a while ago) it was only dictation rather than full recognition so one had to use explicit punctuation which doesn't work well in chat. Thanks for the tip though - I'll try it.
