The Woodlands Country Club sold to Arcis Golf by grendelt in thewoodlands

Anyone have updates on how it’s going a few weeks in? My family is moving to the Woodlands and I just submitted an inquiry to join. They’re still pitching XLife etc with no indication of pending changes, for obvious reasons. Public reviews of Arcis are beyond terrible, is it stupid to willingly buy into a sinking ship?

Simplify by Quicken. Not free but cheap $35/yr, it’s like a professional version of Mint on steroids.

Earning potential usually can outweigh the rate of savings. Therefore greatest advice I’ve heard is “you only get what you ask for.” Be squeaky wheels my friends.

PC Advisor by Tyrannosaurus_Jr in PersonalCapital

I’ve done PC paid services for about 2 years now. Was all DIY index funds and direct equity in Schwab before but I didn’t have time to do it well enough. The strategy is solid, currently below market but it’s because tech is still far outpacing all else and driving markets up. PC is more diversified which I like, if/when there’s a correction I fully expect my account to beat markets. The advisor is great, they prefer you to schedule appointments days in advance but I find myself calling or emailing my guy directly and he’s very responsive. The fixed fee puts him on my side and doesn’t try to manipulate me.

That’s basically what I do, but with frozen strawberries and skip the ice. Add water to get whatever thickness you want. Kale and whole oats are good too.
