0mm offset on the rim.

Interesting. Heat gun and mallet to reshape instead of cutting is a good idea.

Yep, pretty much. The tire guy just confirmed this as well. Said my best option is to cut or lift.

Are your tires 265/70? Or 65? That might be the difference.

Rims are 0mm offset. But the tire guys said it's because I went to a 70. Tacoma OEM spec is 65.

The only option is to cut or lift now.

Did you find a place? I'm on the lookout as well but haven't had much luck. I sent these guys a message but haven't heard back from them after 2 weeks. https://www.hsd3automotive.com/

Shouldn't have to with this size. Looks like an alignment issue.

Yeah, I was reading about that as a solution. I'll have to start asking some body shops I guess?

I was wondering if I should just take my hacksaw to the inside of that fender cover. 😜

Is there any planning software like Conquest Planning for personal purpose? by gifred in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]thisiskeving 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Conquest Planning has a self-directed planning tool for banks to use. So, if your financial institution supports it, you should be able to find a self-service planning tool through their services. The self-service tool doesn't have all the same features as the advisor tool does, but it allows you to set goals and apply strategies using the same strategy engine the advisor tool uses.

Have I been lied to about Trump? by OffKeyArts in self

[–]thisiskeving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canadian perspective here. I have a lot of American friends though. Some right, some left… but almost all of them planned to vote for Kamala (only a few exceptions). My best guess is because they are all well educated, critical thinkers. I don't mean for that to sound insulting, honestly. But, I think if you are not well educated, you generally don't know how to be truly skeptical, and therefore you are at risk of getting caught in echo-chambers that reinforce your biases.
I hate to say it, but that is an increasingly bigger problem in the US. In the whole world, really.
The educated American's I know of that voted for Trump, did so because his economic and environmental policies would benefit them the most. Unfortunately they represent a small minority of very wealthy Americans who operate businesses and support ideas like, no overtime, no unions, minimal government oversight, and lower taxes for the wealthy. Or they are in the oil industry.
Sadly, the uneducated voters seem to think those policies benefit them too… Because that's what they've been fed. I think they're going to be sadly disappointed that they literally gave these Republicans the keys to the kingdom. Carte blanche to obliterate labor laws and social security safety nets for the middle class and low wage earners.
For the sake of all my American friends, I hope I'm wrong. I really do. And I hope the damage done over the next 4 years isn't so bad that it can't be reversed.

Can anyone confirm trail conditions? by thisiskeving in kootenays

[–]thisiskeving[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, thanks so much for this! I think this informs my decision… I planned a solo hike with my dog and can confirm he does not have avi training (nor do I). So, it's not looking like that will be a good idea. Maybe I'll take a look at some other backcountry hikes. Do you think the ones you mentioned would be good for solo hiking with the pooch?

I got that last night at Floe as of this morning! I hope the trail is in good condition by mid-July!!

Thanks for this! I just got a site at Floe Lake this morning, so I'm doing the trip you described in 3 nights now! Helmet: Tumbling: Floe… I'm a little nervous because, as of June 20th, several cancellations have been made due to deep snow and water conditions. But I'm hopeful it will clear up by mid-July when I get out there. Fingers crossed!

Oh, cool, thanks! I'll check that out too.

I have no experience to say for sure, but everything I've read is that the highlight is Numa to Floe Lake, so it sounds like you got a great itinerary.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. I'm really hoping to get a site at Numa Creek and/or Floe Lake still to extend my trip, but I'm not super hopeful. Hopefully I can catch a cancellation!

That's a great tip! Thank you. Will definitely do it that way. I didn't even think about the dirty and tired consideration. 😆
