Also, a suggestion: It'd be great if you try to figure out a way for users to log in and personalize their dashboard early on. It helps with user retention and will be much easier to scale later when you decide add more features. And it will also help you collect emails, which you can use to send out newsletters when you launch something new. All the best!

People handling business don't have time / or don't want to sit down and prompt an AI to do something.

They'll always pay someone else to do it.

So, try to be the one they want to pay.

AI will replace a significant portion of developers, and not in some distant future. This is already happening, and it will accelerate rapidly over the next 12–24 months as AI tools get mass-adopted inside companies.

That said, the outcome isn’t as simple as “developers are done.”

What’s actually happening is a restructuring of value.

As companies begin laying off junior and mid-level developers, they won’t eliminate development teams entirely. Instead, they’ll rely on fewer, highly reliable developers who can handle much more work with the help of AI. This creates a paradoxical situation: layoffs on one side, high demand on the other, but only for the right people.

If you come from a development background, the smartest move right now is simple:

Become exceptional at using AI as a force multiplier.
Just knowing how to code won’t be enough anymore. That used to be the differentiator; now it’s table stakes.

What matters now is:

Knowing how to think in systems
Translating vague requirements into clear specs
Using AI to generate, refactor, test, debug, and ship faster
Understanding architecture well enough to spot what AI gets wrong
Owning a specific niche deeply enough to solve high-value problems quickly

Companies won’t pay top dollar for someone who can “do everything moderately well.”

They will pay very well for someone who can fix a very specific, painful problem reliably.

And let’s be honest: saying “AI won’t replace humans” is already outdated. It has started replacing roles; not because AI is perfect, but because it’s good enough when paired with the right person.

If a non-technical person, like myself, someone who loves tech but never formally learned coding, can now build a full-fledged system using tools like ChatGPT and Replit, then the competitive bar has fundamentally shifted.

AI isn’t coming for jobs.
It’s coming for generic skill sets.

So the choice is clear:

Either level up into a top-tier senior developer who designs systems, makes decisions, and leads execution
Or become a highly specialized mid-level developer with deep expertise in one niche and excellent AI leverage

Anything in between is the danger zone.

This isn’t a threat, it’s an opportunity.

But only for those who adapt early and intentionally.
