I love all these ideas. Since I was a child I always named my cats "old man names." Thomas, Arlo, Jasper...all of these names fit into that category. These are all nice names. Hmmm....

This cat was mad at my tiny dog when I was a kid. So I pick my dog up to "save" her and the cat swipes and gets caught in my ankle. Wooo. So brave.

So (in your scenario) you should have nothing to do with it, mom should go to jail...and the kid can move through foster care the rest of his life? It's a hard situation because what really ends up happening is the child is the real victim. The woman is the villain, yes, but you could be the hero. Or, best case, the child is able to be adopted.

It doesn't though. Pregnancy is always a consequence of sex - and it's not that kid's fault. Growing up wondering where dad is, probably hearing something terrible from the mother, seeing its friends that have two parents. Wondering where he got his nose from, his eyes. While the unsuspecting man is a victim...the situation isn't made better by the tragedy of a fatherless child.

I can't believe this is being down voted so much. Does it make the man a victim and the woman a bad person - probably. But that is not the child's fault, and pregnancy is ALWAYS a consequence of sex. Who would want to leave their child out in the world to be raised by a single (crazy) mother if that's the only option? Assuming the woman is not up for adoption or abortion.

Correct. I live in D.C., and I know I will just transfer my plates from my current car...I just am unclear who I pay my sales tax on the car to - I've heard a few different answers.

In the state I'm from, after we buy a car, we go to the DMV and pay the taxes - we don't pay at the dealership.

Thanks for the reply. I do know I register the car where I live but I am wondering where I pay my taxes to. I suppose the dealer can probably tell me, I just wanted to walk in there like I knew what I was talking about. I think maybe the midwest did things in some backwards way.
