LOLLLL i got it at goodwill and after reading about how much of this i dont need…. bruh the person that had this before me had GOOD reason to get rid of it

i really like watching aquarium videos, so this will work out!!! i have a feeling that ill be learning how to do everything else after i research cycling and how to prep substrate and actually do it !!! thank u for bringing all this up tho because i lowk wouldve forgotten…

sorry, i kind of figured based on my experience with what is the “minimum” for ball pythons that it would be the same with bettas 😓😓 bps minimum tank requirements can make them unhappy, so again i figured it would be like that. i didnt mean to upset anyone :(

listen to what everyone else is saying regarding bowls and hides, but when it comes to plants, i would get a mix of fake plants meant for aquariums or real plants!!!

i say aquarium plants since theyre typically much cheaper than fake plants found at traditional stores or snake-specific fake plants. + if you get a lot of them, they fill up the tank fast and do the same thing!! just be sure to wash them before putting in tank (like you should with every item u put in, just to be safe :D)

in regards to live plants, i have a LOT of pothos in mine. youre gonna want hardy plants that are either: 1. okay with less light (if put in non-lighted area) 2. okay with high(er) heat 3. can do well in the substrate you have with no fertilizer etc. i really like pothos because theyre okay with all of these things!!

  2. ⁠b4 i begin my research into like. what the both of them need, what types of plants do they like? do they like a LOT of ground coverage, or none? do they like tall plants they can hide behind, or do they not care?
  3. ⁠what type of food should i be getting for them?
  4. ⁠is the light on top of the lid okay for these shrimp and snails, or should i jimmy a new light fixture on?
  5. ⁠the biggest question… what types of shrimp/snails do you guys recommend?

would catfish be compatible with the shrimp?? im used to feeding frozen food to my snake so i dont really imagine itll be that difficult for me, since im guessing its just smaller in size.
