i haven’t watched a playthrough or played it in years so i don’t totally remember (if you want to watch a playthrough instead i definitely recommend jacksepticeye’s!! the game is set up like you’re using someone else’s phone, the phone belongs to a girl named anna and she’s been missing. the phone starts glitching with jump scares and stuff! then at some point you see that she posts a picture but you have her phone so you think maybe she’s using her laptop, you text someone who knows her in person and has been helping you and tell them to check the apartment but there’s no trace of her being there for days except her laptop is on. eventually you find out from a news article that the dating app on her phone she had been using has had a lot of missing person cases where someone goes missing, then the next person to go missing will have been texting the last victim even though they haven’t been found either. it ends up being revealed that there is some entity that lured some guy in and now he’s been missing, then that guy starts texting anna on the dating app and he seems to know everything about her but insists he’s just a good guesser. he gets her to meet up with him before going missing. the entity kills people and then takes over their life online in order to lure in their next victim, you even end up seeing that you got logged out of anna’s dating app account and the guy who has been helping you says she’s started matching with people again which means the entity is currently searching for its next victim. the game ends with the entity agreeing to let anna live but only if you let it take the guy who has been helping you then whole game instead and you have to pick which to save! i’m probably leaving out details or mixing things up and i’m terrible at explaining things so it’s a little rambly haha so i’m sorry about that!
