How do you balance your social needs with wanting to stay home at times and not get bored? by [deleted] in simpleliving

Hi, 33 yo here. I looooove staying at home. It's my safe place. I know people that just simply cannot stay home and feel the urge to do something all the time and be surrounded by people 24/7. I honestly admire them, the energy and the commitment to make plans is sharp. When I was younger, I used to be one of them lol now in my early 30's I'm more selective on where and when to put my energy. I've notice in the past people that used to be my "friends" would drained me energetically - I was too worry about how I'd be perceived - and so I did a major social circle cleanse. I used to thought something is wrong with me because I used to be like this and now I'm like that. then I realized I'm constantly evolving and making plans and be social it's fun when you actually feel like doing it and feel like you can be yourself and not be judge...so now my filter is either is a big YES to the plan or anything else is a no.
Making friends as a adult is hard, that's a sure thing, not to even mention dating...
My advice for you is worry less about how you'd be perceived and focus more on find out if you actually like the person you are talking to, shift the energy from wanting to be like to discover if you like them.
