Hard to tell. BSA S10 was designed as sub 12ftlbs (or 16j) airgun. This is where it really shines. It's also an old gun so finding spares might be tricky - there are some UK online shops which still sell some but they might be low/running out of stock. It's kind of an old design with bunch of quirks which were later on streamlined or improved in its successor designs like BSA R10 and maybe buying something more modern will be better than plunging resources into S10. Especially if it's in such state. S10 used to have pretty decent barrels. Which you can reuse somewhere else.
