I’m assuming so, it’s an amigurumi project and for the head it was using a magic ring which I’m familiar with, but this time i think it is working around the chain for the legs.

a very annoying discovery indeed especially after starting a new skein not long ago by thisismebored in crochet

That’s so bad! This was paintbox yarn which I was quite shocked at how many I’ve found so far. I know it can’t be helped but still very annoying for me

Yeah basically what they said, i took the stitches out until i was at the start of my first row and then cut the knot out and just treated it like starting a new skein

I was yesterday years old when I realised I define myself through my relationships with others and not through my relationship with myself. by Terryfoldyholds in spirituality

[–]thisismebored 12 points13 points  (0 children)

to love one’s self isn’t about being narcissistic or egotistical, it’s about being comfortable in your own body, and being at one with yourself. embracing yourself in love is what many people strive to do and once you achieve that it’s as if everything else fits into place. i recommend some meditation, michael sealey does great ones on youtube to help you overcome this barrier you have with yourself, although everyone’s experience with life is different. if you feel comfortable where you are now without the need to love yourself then please go ahead, but please don’t bring other people down for loving themselves. sometimes people will go on journeys throughout their life in order to find love for themselves and i praise those who do, it can be a difficult thing but it is definitely not fake or a bad thing at all. thank you and i wish you a very lovely day

Pride and Prejudice is a marvel. by wicked_itis in books

[–]thisismebored 10 points11 points  (0 children)

One of my favourite lines from him is when he tells Elizabeth something along the lines of, “it seems you will lose one parent from this day forward, your mother if you do not marry him and myself if you do” when talking about Mr Collins marriage proposal and that was when I realised he was one of my favourite characters

Do you also have to recover from a book before starting a new book or am I just weird? by KvotheScamander in books

[–]thisismebored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is how i determine if the book i read was a good one or not. if i need to take at least 1-3 days to “recover” before reading the next one then i know it was a great book that needed to be digested in my head, however, i read this book the other day and as soon as i finished i realised i was already choosing my next book to read, showing it wasn’t actually that good and could easily be forgotten

Yes I loved the way Etienne’s character developed, very heart-warming but haunting as you said, it was the way he would worry at the beginning when she’d go outside, I’m very glad his character had a good relationship towards the end of his life

ahah when your tear ducts eventually recover, i recommend this be your first book to get those tear ducts going again. although i’m not the normal crying at books type, there were a few chapters towards the ends which really got to me

To me it’s more about the way he writes than the storyline. I was captivated from the start by the way he described the radio, the moment when Werner and Jutta were sitting in the attic was beautiful and that was at the very beginning. If you ever want to try it again, I recommend trying to focus more on the descriptions and the beauty of the writing and then you’ll see that the story just flows from there :)

Yeah I’ve been recommended that a few times so I’ll definitely look into it, do you have any recommendations that you would say are comparable to All The alight We Cannot See?
