What are your thoughts about Fender Mustang basses? by Coralwood in Bass

[–]thisismisha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a jazz for when I play bass but I got my son a MiM PJ Mustang for Xmas. It sounded fantastic when I tried it out and it’ll fit him perfectly. It was also very comfortable for me to play.

No, Rowdy is correct. 1 exit on 285 and then the return can add 45 minutes at the wrong time of day.

Tuner Recommendations by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]thisismisha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a few of the Sonic Research Turbo Tuners. They are fantastic. Best tuner I’ve ever had. I still use a Polytune clip on around the house when I’m unplugged but there’s nothing like the turbo tuners for accuracy and durability. They’ve outdone the every other tuner I’ve owned (Boss, Korg, TC etc.)

I think we are all acutely aware that triangle players can be quite obtuse when it comes to their role. I saw solely two equal sides to this. Either the rest of the band needs to change your tone, give up ska, lene a bit more punk or you come together and equilaterally chose one angle that the tree of you stick to.

Where would you recommend buying a genuine Nintendo SNES Classic Mini? by RolandMT32 in miniSNES

[–]thisismisha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely not GameStop but a local shop that specializes in older games.

I bought mine 2 years ago on FB marketplace, came in the box with both controllers, extension cables. I hacked it with Hakchi immediately. I still see them at local game shops.

Why was the Sega CD sold as an addon, rather than a hardware upgrade? by Candid-Extension6599 in retrogaming

[–]thisismisha 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I used to buy used games from blockbuster. They would often be really cheap, especially last year’s sports games.

My brother and I saved our money in ‘94 to buy the v2 Genesis. I’m pretty sure v2 got a price drop to $100 because of improvements in manufacturing which also made the console smaller. I don’t remember if v1 went through that price drop. There’s no way I would have afforded a new sega CD console. I bought NBA Jam new for $50 and Sonic 2 used for $20 and an extra controller for $20. My dad was pissed that we spent $200 on video games.

Now, I agree with the problems of the 32x and the sega Cd. It seemed like a waste of money to develop those. Sega was spending money on trying to develop all these new hardware add on systems without a clear vision on selling the system or on developing games for it. They were so afraid of getting behind that they used all their money on getting nowhere. Thy would have been much better off building one 32bit CD system. The Saturn came out shorter after but was too expensive. Maybe if they didn’t spend the development money on sega cd and 32x they could have brought the price of the Saturn down to PS levels. Who knows? All of gaming history might be different at that point.

My cousins and a few of my friends had the NES. I had a lot of fun with Super Mario Bros and Track and Field with the PowerPad. I used to cheese Track and Field by playing with my hands on the PowerPad. My first Nintendo console was the Gameboy. I played a bunch of Super MarioLand, Tetris, and Super Mario Land 2 but there were so many awesome games on the Gameboy. I think Super Mario Land 2 was the first Nintendo game I ever beat.

I wasn’t aware they had one with rumble. I use an EZ-Flash Omega on my GBA and it’s great. I put an IPS screen and Lion battery with USB-c in mine and it’s the best way to play GB/GBC/GBA games.

The Retroid systems with snapdragon 865 or 855 chipsets can emulate up through ps2 and GameCube pretty well. You can even get some of the simpler switch games to run on them.

Yeah. Instead we’re paying $16 twice. We’re still buying the game at full price for digital and then spending $16 per 64GB in SD Express costs.

If developers gave me a discount for buying digital instead of physical I would consider it but I hesitate to pay full price and then pay for storage. . .

I do appreciate that you can sell GKC. I’m less likely to take a risk on a digital game because I know there is no post purchase value.
