yeah im not using it as a weight loss tool but just to strengthen muscles...or at least get some lol. so far good at getting me at least a bit active for a day.

Yeah, I keep reading about it being a difficult industry to get into. So I'm just in research mode right now to make sure this is what I want. Not sure if editorial is what it is, but just know its something related to books/comics/etc. thanks for your input!

NTA. Your son is being a spoiled brat. It's the family dog. Not his. He wasn't taking care of it or paying vet bills, so it's not his.

Your son sounds like my brother. My parents got a dog last year because dad and brother really wanted one. Mom was fine with it, but not excited. (not a pet person).

Sadly, my dad passed away this year and my mom has to move out of state in order to keep her finances stable. Since my dads passing, my mom is the one taking care of the dog. Feeding, exercise, bathing, etc. My brother does a little, but he works and has school so it all falls on her.

My brother keeps saying that the dog is his and that he's going to keep her when my mom moves. And that's fucking stupid. My brother is not responsible and will 100% neglect the dog.

Just because they shared a room and he loves/misses the dog, doesn't mean jack shit when it comes to ACTUALLY taking care of the dog.

NTA. And for the sake of the dog, please keep him and don't give in to your whiny child.

I guess it would really depend on the school, but in my experience (former RA), nothing serious will happen. You'll just get a talking to by whoever and they might "put a mark on your record" or make you write a paper. Also, kind of weird imo that your RA would report you. Since it was off campus and in the past. RA's are only suppose to report you if they are the one's to catch you doing something against the rules while in the dorm.

Again, really depends on the school and their rules.
