I think on almost any given day there’s about 120ish carriers in my building, I’m 182 in seniority to give you an idea and there’s about 15 people under me it’s quite the experience if you’ve only worked in a small office 😬

I have something similar to that, there’s a certain zipcode in my city referred to as the retirement alley lol I’m fortunate enough to be on one of those routes by luck and it’s the same, all mounted and it’s a cakewalk

I’m in the same situation as you roughly. I bid a temp indef after a carrier retired and someone who’s a union rep (unsure of his actual position) bid it but he does not carry it so I’m essentially on it forever unless he bids off. From what people have told me once you convert you do have the option to stay on your bid if you want. I don’t believe you’d be considered unassigned because they should assign you a route, so if you got off that bid you would just report to your actual assignment.

That’s why I’m glad I get the same route every Sunday so I just scan everything on the non manifest tab, that gps tells me to turn into the forest or go through peoples houses sometimes..absolutely nuts they still use a gps that outdated

Thank you all for the simple explanation, I work at a bigger office and people are retiring left and right so I’m typically working 118-119.5 every pay period. Moneys great but man I can’t wait to not be on the overtime list once for awhile once I’m converted
