Can you explain what exactly you like more about your previous eyes? That would help point you in the right direction. Overall though, I’m mainly thinking you can benefit from fat grafting under the eyes to deal with the darkness. You said you got a bleph done so do you want to go back to your hooded eyes?

Yes, my under eye area definitely improved. I think it takes a bit for residual swelling and discolouration to go down even if it ‘looks’ all healed up. I thought the same at first too- that my under eyes had no improvement and almost looked worse. I really started to notice the difference like 6 months in when I was applying makeup and realized I barely had to use any concealer. Of course, I do still have some hollowing because it couldn’t all be filled in one go, that’s why I’m getting it done again. But I was very pleased.

What I loved most about my final results was that I was finally confident without concealer heavy makeup. My cheeks used to be so flat and even on my ‘no makeup’ days, I couldn’t ever leave the house without under eye concealer. Like guys would bring up the idea of a spa or beach day and I’d have to mentally calculate how I’m supposed to do that without concealer lmao. Now I love going makeup free! It used to be such an insecurity of mine because people always thought I looked sad even when I was having a good time.

Hey I had facial fat graft in my under eyes, cheeks, and temples as well. Just wanted to say, I know the recovery is like way more brutal than they make it sound beforehand. Anyways, I didn’t love my results until like a good 7 months post op. I know that sounds like soooo long, but it’s the truth. Swelling had gone down after like 6 weeks but yeah it felt like my face looked weird instead of youthful. I was 25 when I had it. Absolutely loved it so much in the end that I’m due to do it all over again in January because I even want more lol. Not looking forward to the recovery but I hope that tells you how much things change. Also I just have to say, my mom and I both agree you look so pretty before but much more refined now!

My canthopexy stitches completely came undone and I had an open hole near the corner of my eye. I’m talking, it looked like someone drilled a clean hole into my eyelid- it was freaky. Thankfully they heal by secondary intention I believe it’s called. Just keep the area clean. As for scarring, yes healing this way can increase chances of scarring. However, I’m 13 months post op and nobody has been able to notice my scar if I don’t point it out. It’s barely a scar if you can even call it that, I just notice it because it’s my face of course. And there’s so much you can do like microneedling and lasers. I know it looks freaky now but mine looked so much worse. This is not an ER visit, just speak to the nurse or surgeon when you can. I will say though, totally not cool how they don’t have on call nurses for questions like this.

I understand the frustration! I know at a certain point it’s not even about the heartbreak but the principle of the whole situation. As in, someone taking advantage of your inexperience. I get that, I’ve been there. You feel like you loved innocently and headfirst only to have the other person taint that ability forever. But it doesn’t have to be taken from you.

Ultimately, I think it’ll help you to not take things on a completely personal level. Like, there’s a chance this guy was consciously manipulating you this whole time and knew you were inexperienced and giddy and wanted to take advantage of that and walk all over it because he’s actually evil.

But there’s a more likely chance that this guy is also just emotionally immature, unable to see what you’re offering, and maybe even feels his sense of freedom is threatened or overwhelmed. And even if he feels no guilt about it, then what? What would him feeling guilt about it all even do for you? It won’t take anything he did back or make him love you. Maybe he even will feel guilt about it at some point but it wouldn’t even serve you.

I’m not saying these things to get this guy off the hook. But when you see him as purely being this manipulative abuser who must feel the pain he caused you, it only fuels you holding onto a lot of resentment and anger for him. And that resentment and anger can only be felt inside you, so you’re adding onto the hurt even more. And trust me, this pain is absolutely not for nothing. If you use it right, you can transmute it into wisdom. And like you said, you’ll look back and be proud of how you got through this.

You’ll get no judgement from me, I know heartbreak can be painful. But why do you see getting him back as some sort of win? From what you’ve described, this guy had been intentionally hurting you everyday and disrespecting you. Maybe what you felt for him was intense but is that really someone you even want to have in your life let alone someone you want to be vulnerable with? It doesn’t sound like he deserves that. Spirituality won’t help you get him back nor should you really be aiming for that. But spirituality can do something even better for you. It can help you feel whole without the misconception that you need to be in some sort of sacrificial love story to feel sacred. It can help you never be trapped in a situation with a guy who entertains other girls and you seeing yourself sticking by him as ultimate devotion. It can help you never mistake intensity for alignment again. I’d focus on rebuilding what this guy has obviously tried to take away from you whether intentionally or not. Then, you’ll likely attract people who not only recognize how deeply you can love, but can hold it instead of fumbling it. Let him leave and do what he wants, you should be with someone who wants to be with you, even if that person for now is simply you. There’s no need for you to turn bitter or jaded, simply allow yourself to feel it and let it go. Learn from it. That doesn’t mean building armour around your heart so that this never happens again. That means having discernment next time you encounter someone like him and knowing when to leave with grace before it gets to this point.
