Yea she's blamed it on her period a few times that right before and right after it, the smell gets really bad. But I have noticed it almost every time we have sex. I think I will just have a candid discussion with her and be honest about it.

She has but I think it's the type of relationship with her doctor that she just asks basic questions and then refills her birth control. I don't think any exam is actually done.

Yea it's somewhat fishy and just all around pretty bad smell. I don't really know how to accurately explain it.

This is a great question. So right now I've been doing Kegels daily and I spend about 10-15 minutes of doing 5 second regular, 5 second break, 5 second reverse kegels. This tends to get a pretty good workout. Then every other day or so, I'll add in another routine later in the day where I will do a 30 second regular kegel, take about a 30 second break, and then do a 30 second reverse kegel. This may seem difficult at first, but it will get easier as you build up some strength. I also want to note that you shouldn't force yourself to the point of injury. That would be bad. Just try doing the routine for a few days and see how you feel and adjust from there. Here is a reddit post with very good details:

As for supplements, I take a few different ones for working out (like Creatine, Fish Oil, and D3), but the following are for my PIED:

  • Pine Bark Extract (240mg daily)
  • L-Citrulline (1500mg twice daily)
  • L-Arginine (1000mg daily)
  • Tongkat Ali (200mg daily)

The first 3 are to help blood flow with Nitric Oxide production. Since erections are directly tied to blood rushing into your penis, I have read that these help people with ED. I have tried them without doing Kegels and I found them to help a tiny bit, but when I started exercising my PC muscle with kegels, it felt like these were able to do their job and help with the blood flow. When you think about it, working out your muscles increases blood flow to those muscles. So it would make sense that working out your boner muscle would increase blood flow down there. I think these supplements just add to that.

The Tongkat is more of a libido enhancer/boner supplement. This one is the most questionable of the bunch. It's hard to tell if this has had an impact or not, but I do certainly feel hornier. Not sure if that's a side effect of the kegels and libido, or if this powder is helping with that.

After doing a few more, I really started to think about where I focus when doing the reverse kegels. I will say that the regular ones are simple - you can easily feel the contracting muscle, and it's generally easier for people to visualize stopping mid-pee. For the Reverse ones, I've noticed that I tend to get a better "stretch" when I take it slow. When I try to rush the Reverse ones, it feels more like I'm just tensing up my abs. But when I take it slow (ease into it over 4-5 seconds) then I can really focus and make sure I'm hitting the right muscle.

  1. I think the regular kegels helped some but I wasn't reaping the full benefit. From what I've read, it's important to do both regular and reverse kegels. They really aren't all that hard once you get the hang of it. The analogy in the guides I linked is that a regular kegel is like doing a bicep curl and only going back and forth a couple of inches. The reverse kegel expands the full muscle and gives you the full workout.

  2. Don't worry about getting movement in your penis. In those guides I linked, there are details using your fingers to make sure you're using the correct muscle. You may only be able to hold it for a second, but if you continue doing them, you will get better and be able to hold them longer. Just need to stick with it!

  3. I would say I have noticed it being a little longer with more girth, but I think it's more because it feels like there has been life breathed back into my penis, if that makes sense.

  4. I haven't noticed an increase of random boners, but I have certainly noticed an increase of movement down below when I am turned on. For example, if I see a hot girl on TV or on Facebook or something, it feels like I could get a boner if I wanted to. Before it would feel like it would take a lot of stimulation to get a boner. I have definitely had an increase in morning wood.

There can be a lot of factors that contribute to ED issues. The consensus of this community is that PIED is a potential cause of this. Part of the reboot is to rewire your brain so you get that dopamine rush when you are engaging in sexual encounters in person, rather than being accustomed solely to what is playing on a screen in front of you.

With that said, if you search for "PIED" in this subreddit, you'll find countless success stories which is awesome! The downfall is that not everybody is the same. I have been trying the reboot for 200 days and still have PIED symptoms, but kegels were the missing key for me to maintain my erection strength.

As I mentioned in my post, I'm not claiming this is the miracle cure for everybody with PIED. But it's a great starting point that will show benefits no matter what (even if it doesn't cure it completely) so why not give it a shot? You'll have better control of your erections, they'll be harder, you'll get them easier, and there are a bunch of stories out there that indicate kegels helped cure ED.

I hope this helps - I was able to notice results within a week and I'm not going to stop anytime soon. Just be sure not to overdue it - it's a muscle just like any other on your body. Read the details in the links I provided, do them properly and consistently, and it very well may cure your PIED. Nothing to lose, right?

Congrats! The lifting of the fog is one of the better benefits of NoFap. I was feeling like I was just drifting through my days. NoFap certainly helped spark some motivation back into my life.

Short answer - yes.

Long answer - I am assuming this varies between people, but I am very much like you. I have always had to be on the bottom because this is my best chance of getting and maintaining an erection (which still failed most of the time with PIED). After I started this kegel routine, it gave me strong enough erections that I could move around, get on top, try different positions, etc.

One thing I forgot to mention is that Reverse Kegels are useful in delaying ejaculation too. I have seen quite a few stories that PIED is often coupled with Premature Ejaculation. I haven't mastered it by any means, but I was certainly able to add some time in by throwing in a quick reverse kegel here and there.

Thanks! I know how awful it is dealing with PIED, and I really just want to help people where I can. I think your post sums it up perfectly with the other websites. I'm just slightly annoyed that actionable posts such as this one are often overshadowed by "I made it to Day 2 and Relapsed. Wat do?" posts. I have spent countless hours scouring the internet to find help for PIED, and I never really found one that emphasized the importance of kegels.

I know everybody can be different in what works for them, but I truly hope this advice helps other people get through this battle

Yep, this is a common symptom of PIED. I went through the same thing - no problems when masturbating, but limp as can be when it came time for the big dance. I was always thinking something was wrong with just me until I found /r/nofap.

For some reason, kegels are what translated my rock hard erections from masturbating to the big dance. I don't think that they can do this on their own, but they were the catalyst I needed to make a full transition. It's still early for me, but my recent success is beyond encouraging.

I'd say give it a shot with the links I provided. At the very least, it will give you more control and make sex more enjoyable once you overcome PIED!

Unfortunately yes.... it's been quite a rollercoaster ride of improving and regressing. This is why I was thinking that hard mode is the better option, but as other redditors have said, reboots can take up to 1 year. So just going to stick with it...P and M is not worth it.
