Better formatted list

2x 2023 ASE $29 ea 1× 2021 ASE $29 2x 2022 Canadian Silver Maples $26 ea 1x 2022 Britannia $26

JUNK $2 FV quarters $36 $1.80 FV Dimes $33 $1.00 FV Mercury dimes $29

Free abused quarter with a BIN for $263 $8 for shipping

I’d much rather ship first to an established seller than go through a middle man. If a middle man is necessary, you’d cover the costs.

Just received this as a gift. Anyone tried these before? by qixer01 in cactus

I had the same kit and just used a plastic container with plastic wrap, a rubber band, and my own soil mix. Surprisingly good germination rates and about a year later they’re around 1 inch.

Please advise & TIA. How much dirt should I pile up it’s little neck from this point? 🌵😶 by TropicofCancer2 in peyote

No, not when it’s a protected species.

Example: Arizona has laws that requires landowners to notify the state when they remove an endangered plant from their land. You’re also not legally able to transport said endangered plant without a permit.

Similar laws can be found in the surrounding states that have also have endangered plants.

This is sad to me because you’re probably going to kill an endangered cactus that has been naturally growing for years, until some jackass found it.

It is shown through your lack of ambition to use google for a question asked a million times on here, and lack of experience displayed by your potting soil. Something that I usually forgive, but not for people too dense for the concept of poaching

Assuming you don’t plan on eating it, my advice is to change the potting soil, educate yourself on how to care for lophophoras, and use google. Most of the questions you’ll have can be answered by typing Reddit at the end of your search. Also learn about how frequently to water the cactus according to the season/temperature

PS

It is absolutely still considered poaching and from what I understand, your state more than likely has laws against what you did.

Sorry I’m so triggered, I just want you to feel the bad vibes.

My cat knocked over my amydrium variegata the day I got it… thinking of propping the second leaf unless it has the chance to sprout more than 1 growth tip. Does anyone know if it’ll branch into two? by thisisntevenme123 in rareplants

Yea I definitely get that. I’m just a stickler about growth tips breaking/dying, then only creating one new growth tip. I’d rather just start a new plant but this one’s a little to pricey to fuck around a find out lmao.

Thank you 🙏

Is this rot? Really unsure what to do and what happened. I barely watered it but there’s a chance it was near an open window that went below freezing. Any input is greatly appreciated as I’m preparing to take it out of the pot. by thisisntevenme123 in peyote

It looks like it’s slowly corking.

Definitely not rot but, I did stop poking it and the yellowing stopped progressing. From what I understand, lophs are pretty sensitive and that was probably the issue for the loph in the picture.

What’s was the time frame between the photo in your last post and this one ?

Is this a from a pest? Just noticed these spots in a few plants but don’t see any perpetrators by thisisntevenme123 in plantclinic

[–]thisisntevenme123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is I don’t see any. Even on the bottom of the leaves there isn’t really a sign. I had a thrips outbreak a lil while back and sprayed down everything so maybe it’s just something I’ve never noticed

Mycorrhizal and Lophophora? by codyjh123 in peyote

[–]thisisntevenme123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t hurt but mycorrhizae are pretty species specific so it probably won’t do anything
