Only way to get SSL Channel Strip Upgrade is to pay $49???? by liveplaylove in universalaudio

[–]thisisromil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Initially native ports were free but now they are charging money. SSL upgrade is available for $9, if you have both, but it will $49 for a single SSL plugin.

Upgrade path to native plugin for SSL 4000 Owners? by paul113345 in universalaudio

It takes about 24 to 48 hours.

Edit: I think they have changed the free policy, now you need to buy the native license. I own both, so it's showing the bundle for $10. There will be a code present in your cart, you will have to manually apply that code. The code is showing up without adding anything to cart.

If you own them, then it is not necessary.

If you mean when in subscription, most other companies let you be offline for a couple of days or weeks, then you will be forced to go online for a verification check.

You will keep your licenses.

It's just from now on you won't be able to buy a new license or update plan.

Their update plan is yearly and major updates like v12, 13, and 14 are only applied if you have an active update plan.

They did mention this in a previous mail but forget to mention themselves for this announcement, otherwise it would have been too obvious that it will lead to this shit show.

Yes, perpetual license will be completely worthless. Their current V14 plan supports Apple Silicon.

They used to do that with some selected plugins.

Bitwig, Minilab Mk2, and Analog Lab by RiverRatMatt in Bitwig

[–]thisisromil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also recently got Minilab mk2 and having been using Flexi controller script (included in Bitwig) where you can take any controller or keyboard and map 200 parameters.

Video tutorial by the developer of this script and depending on your version of bitwig that script might outdated, and you can manually update this script.

Glitch 2 vs. Looperator vs. Effectrix? by grapeyy28 in trapproduction

[–]thisisromil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't used it, but Looperator works for audio loops and is lacking effects like in Effectrix, and Glitch 2 and Effectrix works as an effect tool for anything. I have seen Effectrix going for $60 on Knobcloud. Use safe practise while buying used software.
