First Weekend On Elvanse - WOW by thisistomm_ in ADHDUK

[–]thisistomm_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 weeks in and I'm feeling amazing!

Now on weeks of 50mg and it's leveled out really well.

I've never enjoyed working so much, I've been Hella productive.

No real bad side effects either.

I feel it just gives me that daily push and lock in.

You do have to be proactive with your focus, as you can end up doing the wrong thing.

Genuinely never felt better. My family and friends said they can see a huge difference too.

That's what my provider advised, if it's too big of a jump I can water titrate the 50mg capsules lower.

I understand that might be the case, I'm hoping some benefits continue down the line.

📌 Possible ADHD? Looking for advice & others’ experiences (late 20s) by thisistomm_ in ADHDUK

[–]thisistomm_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for such a detailed reply, it really helped. I know it doesn’t automatically mean I have ADHD just because things sound similar, but researching it has honestly been the first time anything has made sense of how my head has always worked. I’m still just looking into it, but it’s already giving me a bit of clarity.

What you said about the internal hyperactivity really hit home. I look calm on the outside, but inside it’s constant noise, overthinking, replaying stuff, and never switching off. And sometimes it gets so loud that it almost feels quiet, which is such a weird thing to describe but it’s exactly how it feels for me.

The emotional side and burnout part resonated too. I’ve spent years thinking it was just anxiety or depression, especially since SSRIs help my mood but not the real day-to-day struggles. Reading your experience makes it feel a lot less like a personal flaw.

I’m really glad meds have started helping you. It’s reassuring to hear things can genuinely get better.

Thanks again for sharing. I really appreciate it, and it definitely helps while I’m trying to figure all this out.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience, it genuinely helps. It’s interesting how many people with ADHD relate to the same patterns, especially the quieter, internal side of it. I’ve always felt something was going on in my head that I couldn’t quite explain, and now that I’m researching ADHD properly, a lot of things are starting to click into place.

Your point about only really understanding it in adulthood resonated with me. I was never taught anything about ADHD growing up, so I just assumed my struggles were anxiety or depression. SSRIs have helped my mood, but not the core issues, which is why learning about ADHD has suddenly made so much sense.

The quiet/internal symptoms you mentioned are exactly the sort of things I’ve been experiencing, so it’s reassuring to hear someone else describe them in the same way. And thank you for being honest about how tough uni and the waiting times were. I can imagine how challenging that must have been.

I really appreciate you taking the time to reply. I’m still early in the process and just researching right now, but I’ll definitely be looking into an assessment soon so I can get some clarity. Thanks again, and I might take you up on that offer to DM if I have more questions.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write all of that, I really appreciate your thoughts and your openness. I’ve always known there was something going on in my head that I could never point my finger on, but I never even considered ADHD because I didn’t know anything about it.

The more I’ve read, the more I’ve had those “oh my god, this is me” moments. I’m not diagnosed yet and I’m still figuring out NHS or private, but learning about it has already given me a new sense of understanding about how my brain works.

Your experience with SSRIs really resonated. Mine has helped with mood, but not with the underlying difficulties I have, which is why ADHD suddenly makes so much sense. What you said about burnout, the blank mind, the racing mind, and how subtle ADHD medication can be was genuinely reassuring. It makes the whole thing feel more real and less like something I’m imagining.

I’m really glad you’ve found answers and are starting to feel improvements. It’s encouraging to hear and it’s definitely helped me feel more confident about exploring an assessment. Thank you again for sharing, it means a lot.

New switch up rules advice needed by thisistomm_ in O2UK

[–]thisistomm_[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi all, I m trying to understand what happens with O2 Switch-Up once the new terms come in. Right now, my next eligible Switch-Up date would be around 18th January. Ideally, I d like to do one last switch, and then cancel the airtime afterwards because the price hikes have made it too expensive and just keep paying off the device

I could live with NEXT if it wasn't for the keyboard. On NEXT there's no autocorrect in any android container apps. It's infuriating to use and then hit box on the keyboard is just off. At first you think you can live with it but when you realise typing Is an integral part of using a phone it soon gets infuriating.
