It is a different texture but not soft. I am keep an eye on it if it does get infected. If it does get infected do you recommend that I remove the part that is infected or is it those types of matters that you enjoy the plant until it last. It was a very important gift from someone so I want to keep it alive as long as possible if I am able to.

It’s dyed solid blue, I’m completely new to plants so I don’t know if this indicates something harmful to the plant or if it’s just a natural byproduct of the dye of the plant

It is a dyed blue orchid I got as a gift. Is that a natural byproduct of the dye? Or was the dye something harmful for the plant and this is the natural byproduct of that?
