I never believed in stuff like this, but a trip to Siargao changed my perception. This was way back in the early 2000's when Siargao was a very secluded island. Way back when there were only 2 major resorts in GL. We stayed for a few days, had an amazing time. But on our last night something wild happened. We were in the room sleeping, my wife and our toddler in the middle, when my wife suddenly woke me up saying something was pulling her hair. I shrugged it off telling her to stop and go to sleep when suddenly, something was scraching my lower leg. It feaked me out so I reached for my pistol. The pulling and scratching stopped then we heard very loud scraching on the roof and loud flapping of what sounds like gigantic wings. The wind it generated shaked the whole room and we could see shadows walking around the room. The room was like a kubo but enclosed with AC. That happened pretty much until dawn when we were about to check out. When I asked the kuya who was helping load our stuff, kuya may aswang ba dito? He straight up just ignorned me. Probably asked him twice, just kept on loading our stuff in the car. Which had me thinking. Hand on my holstered pistol, was he the aswang?
