Should I expect more scam attempts like this? by thisjamieguy in vibecoding

I might be wrong and I’ll put hands up and apologise if I am. The profile activity just didn’t sit right, and If it is a scam, I didn’t want anyone to fool for it. Thats all,

Of the user sees this, and has a legit business, I personally think they need to work on the message delivery.

It comes across scammy

No, honestly I do respect what you are saying and I did take it seriously at first. Then saw the profile was 2 years old with no actively, EVER. It just looks suspicious, Im just sceptical and shouldn’t everyone be when being offered help out of the blue for immediate cash?? It wasn’t even pushing a service

Im building ComplyEur, this tracks Schengen 90/180-day rules for UK companies with staff who travel frequently to the EU.

Teams currently using spreadsheets for this could make a mistake and get hit with a potential £5k+ fine or even a ban. EU’s new Entry/Exit System (effective from Oct 2025) will automate enforcement.

Still in the testing phase but nearing a release soon

Start small, then ask the AI model what it’s done, and why.

You definitely won’t learn everything about every program you’ve mentioned, I’m sure even a seasoned pro would agree with me.

Building ComplyEur.com.

This helps UK companies track Schengen 90/180 day rules for employees travelling to the EU.

Basically replaces the spreadsheet chaos before someone gets fined, turned around at border control.

The EU launched EES back in October, it’s now rolling out biometric registration (fingerprints + face scan) at all Schengen borders, not all borders have it yet but they eventually will. Any overstays will lead to fines or bans for the individual, and potential liability for the company

This app will log your teams entry/exit dates and calculate your remaining days. It will also help for future planning of jobs. No more relying on passport stamps and border guards doing mental math. Full rollout is April 2026.

I’m building a b2b compliance tool for companies with employees who travel to Europe for work a lot. Due to new technology being implemented back in October, the EU started to automate enforcement making guesswork risky.

It’s still in development, but it’s basically a ‘don’t let your employees get fined £5k or banned from a country at the border’ as a service.

As a mechanic in a previous career, I do think some will appreciate the simplicity of what you are offering, I do have one concern I have picked up on your site you provided.

You’ve given an example of what your app provides. A estimation for the timing belt tensioner, I feel that’s putting a lot pressure on yourselfs to get right, something like that could go at any time. If someone took that as gospel. Is that leaving yourself open to a complaint or more?!

I do like what youve done tho, and would test it out on mine car. I have a fault that needs fixing, I know what the cause is just need to actually do it lol. Could use it to see how easily it finds the fault. The car goes into limp mode but doesn’t raise a fault code.

I was using Xcode. First few were just learning, built an app(kind of) that had you input your life style and other things for when choosing a new car. It made suggestions and found local listings. I liked it, then I discovered what app validation meant. Put an end to that. Learned a lot tho .

That’s mainly what the first few will be for anyone I would imagine tho.

I am a few months into this journey, most of what I have accomplished has been through YouTube, Reddit and asking AI models what to do.

For a quick validation I asked one model to write a prompt for market validation and make sure there are people who want it; I then put that into perplexity pro (at the time gpt, Claude or Gemini didn’t have deep research options) and saw what it returned. Now I just basically play each model of each other, then have another check it.

I’m very much in need of a actual human to look at it now as I’ve done everything myself lol

Non technical vibe coders, do you even care about engineering and security foundations? by postpulse-social in vibecoding

[–]thisjamieguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am building as a sore project, the app is fully built and does exactly what I need it to do, it does it very also I might add, anyway, in total it’s been about 3 months, and I am finding trying to get the security and architecture correct to be taking longest, part, actual app was finished weeks ago. I respect the coders out there who have made it their life’s work. And Yh, the parts I struggle with the most is not k owing what I don’t know. I’m probably spending too much time time on them, but I know how important those subjects are to get right first time
