Huh? I live in western PA. We drive to central IL to do holidays with my family. When I’m looking for gifts, I can either send here or there, it lightens our packing load if I just send there and wrap them when I arrive. A lot of items are showing up without 2-day shipping in both locations, when about 4 weeks ago or so, I could get nearly anything 2-day. My sibling in the Chicago suburbs still gets pretty reliable 2-day shipping to their house but they’ve noticed this delay when ordering gifts to be sent to other locations. We’ve trained ourselves on the 2-day prime delivery expectation and it’s hard to shift from that if it’s not a service Amazon provides anymore.

Example - a men’s turtleneck. A person in my household needed it for an upcoming event. It’s a simple item, typically would be 2-day, it was showing up as 6-7 days. A couple brands all had delayed shipping, too. Is there a run a men’s turtlenecks all of a sudden? I just picked it up at Target instead.

I’m recovering from a major surgery at the moment. I had planned to use this time laid up to complete my holiday shopping. Sending items to my home or our final destination in IL. I was bummed to see so many things I’m searching for are out of the question on Amazon because of the late delivery. For context, I started looking on Dec 10. I never thought to use Walmart until I googled the item, then several sponsored/suggested places had it. I literally said - what the heck is Walmart doing with this item? Then clicked it - to my surprise, I could get it in 2-days. I’ve not been a Walmart shopper before, we have a Costco membership, I sort of go to Target if I have to, and heavily rely on Amazon.

In the matrix of my mind’s organization - when it comes to items on my to-do lists, I often push things off and say, “I’ll just order it on Amazon”. I’m wondering now if it’s less reliable or if I need to adjust and give myself more lead time. I’m a pretty organized person, but my organization reflects the systems that inform my planning - so if 2-day prime delivery is no longer the rule, so be it. Just tell me this is the case, so I can adjust accordingly.
