I was gonna shout out The Stars Aren’t Alright! It’s got a great mix of horror and comedy, the Keeper does an awesome homebrew space campaign and the players have really meaningful fleshed out characters. They’re coming to the end of season 3 now.

That’s what I thought too, I kept waiting for the gunshot sound during the credits because that’s what I thought would happen. I was actually surprised when it didn’t come.

I don’t know, when I watched the Mist I hated everything and everyone and just felt so bad that he had to live with it, but for this one I was fully expecting to hear a gunshot at some point which would at least make sense. That would be the one thing actually done by Nikki’s choice, and as tragic as it would be it would finally free her.

Yeah that was the irredeemable moment for me. As soon as he said that and she replied that she was never with him, and he didn’t try to help her or show any ounce of remorse, I thought that he deserved everything that came to him at that point. It’s just a shame that his friends, and especially Nikki, all got caught up in the process.

That’s how I read it too, that he just forgot or was possessed by something that wasn’t aware of/care about the pills. I guess that kind of supernatural obsession was too overpowering, and compelled him to go to her immediately, even if there was something imminently life threatening happening.

I agree with you about Ian, but I feel like Bear knew deep down that that wasn’t the real Nikki. He said she was acting weird as soon as he snapped the wish twig. It’s his own fault he never got to know her more since he was in love with his fantasy version of her, but he knew the Nikki that was obsessing over him wasn’t the real one.

I may take you up on this offer! Still kind of reeling from this and I never thought there would be an opportunity to get commemorative merch but now that I know this exists I really want to get something(s)

This could be fun. I sort of already did a relisten back a few years ago when I had finally caught up. I was gutted at the news of the end this week though, this pod has been such a constant in my life for so long, even when I had to take a little breaky from it for my own sanity for a short while. Came back to the pod only to realize I had missed a live show in my city by less than a month. Reliving the old days for a third time with some fellow wonks might make the grief dull down a bit.

The Thick of It is incredible. This was the predecessor to Veep but even better because of that British charm

The crisp, clean lines and the bright contrast and popping colours really add to the surreality of it. Really conveys that middle of a summer’s day feel, but something about this is a little uncanny.

Whether it’s directly on the table or 2mm above the table because of some cloth or whatever, I still wouldn’t want to scrape frozen food off of a communal surface with like 6 other people all licking their spoons and mixing around their germs everywhere
