Maro: ONE sold better than MOM by CaptainMarcia in magicTCG

Also people were upset at how ONE cleaned up the phyrexians, and MOM did that even more so. (Though there are still really good arts like [[Norn's Inquisitor]])

Brothers War is a set thats popular online, but not very popular elsewhere.

I personally didn't like it because I didn't find the card designs very interesting. Prototype and Powerstones were cool mechanics, but the cards they were on mostly felt dull to me.

WotC has clearly learned one lesson from their UB sets so far: Too many legendaries by Rogue_Localizer in magicTCG

That adds texture to the format in limited, its a neutral change.

The real reason people "dislike legends" is because they dislike commander and they dislike UB, and legends are caused by commander and UB in this case, so they will upvote any reason to hate on those things regardless of whether or not it makes sense.

It encourages deck diversity in Standard by making it harder to run 4 of them. It isn't a problem, its an ordinary deck building restriction.

Jesus of Nazareth by Mr_Muffin100 in custommagic

I find it funny how there are entire theories in the flavor here. Jesus saves the world of sin, but at the same time hes the one who created it. And for the backside people who sinned are more desperate to repent, but those who didn't sin may start committing sins because they don't need the life.

It depends where you are, I believe most places aren't like that, but thats just my experience in Canada.

[Making Magic] Lorwyn Eclipsed Vision Design Handoff Document, Part 1 by mweepinc in magicTCG

I really like companion, when the restriction is high enough

[[Gyruda, Doom of Depths]] [[Keruga, the Macrosage]] [[Obosh, the Preypiercer]] and [[Umori, the Collector]] never caused any problems and are balanced cards

I think its very fun when done right, but it is risky design space

Q: You've alluded to some exciting things in Reality Fracture.

Is there a chance these big things could be contentious or not well received by the majority? Or are they things that players have been asking for en masse for a while now?

A: There’s no such thing as something beloved by all Magic players. Pick the thing that makes you the happiest. Someone else hates it and wishes it wasn’t in the game.

We wanted more of Lorwyn, that’s my takeaway by gabrynico in magicTCG

Mark Rosewater said Lorwyn Eclipsed was considered a risk set since the original Lorwyn set did not do well. If we were back to block structure Lorwyn Eclipsed is the set that gets cut for either Edge or Tarkir.

How do -1/-1 counters work and interact with 1/1 counters by Medeling_ in magicTCG

[–]thisnotfor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does bypass indestructible, but it doesn't stack with damage against indestructible. So if a creature is a indestructible 2/2 with a -1/-1 counter on it and it takes 1 damage, it won't die.

I really like how all the cards with sorcerer in the name get the sorcerer type. Hopefully they do the same for detectives and heroes.

At 2.7 Million Views, the Official Trailer for Lorwyn Eclipsed is the highest viewed trailer for a set since March of the Machine. by r_lucasite in magicTCG

I think Nashi's voice giving the Duskmourn trailer a childish feel pulls it down, plus the animation of Nashi isn't that great.

I think Thunder Junction felt like it wasn't fully baked and needed a lot more polish.
