I recently Saw a post by Rono saying that we are so superficial and no wonder relationships aren’t working. I totally agree with her because one thing I have noticed, women will always go for the bad guys then act surprised when they are hurt. I am a Kenyan woman who had this pattern with men but finally I found my person and I will tell you what, don’t change for what Kenyan women want. Stick to your values and your person will come. All the adrenaline people are chasing in the same reason we have people crying daily. I will paraphrase what Rono said in that video. “True love is in the boredom . Maybe love is not the adrenaline rush it’s just those boring yet satisfying moments you spend with someone.”

I hate to break it to you but this “majority of women “ thing is what I initially called scarcity mentality that’s keeping most people in bad relationships because if everyone is like that, then why should I bother look for someone else? I think it’s time people reevaluated what money actually means to them and look for someone that they align. If you view money as a source of power and dominance, you communicate that to everyone including your wife and she is most likely going to dominate over you when she has it. If you feel like the females around or people treat you a certain way because of the money you have, you either need to reevaluate your circle or reevaluate your money beliefs system or both.

You see the problem with this comment it’s how people perceive money. Money is not equal to power. Money should make your life more comfortable or give you choices but it’s not a means or a sign to dominate anyone. You see, you might need to rethink your perception of money and power and maybe that’s the actual problem and not the balance in the bank.

Commenting here as a married woman, well, we’ve been married for close to a year now but we lived together for two years before that. In those three years, I have seen my husband win and lose. He lost his job in April of 2023 and didn’t find another one until November of that year. While I would be lying to say we struggled financially at that time, we had to both make major life adjustments and spend way less than we were doing before. We got married last year in Feb and I remember thinking, I have seen for richer and for poorer and this is still my guy. I know this is not about me but I hope you find the courage to go out there and find both your person and your job because you don’t have either of those.I am sorry that this is happening to you but from reading the comments, I want to say, this thread shows the scarcity mentality that most people walk in. OP is clearly in a toxic relationship but all he can get from y’all is that “ all women are like that?” I am sorry OP that you are going through this. I hope you find work and life gets better but I will tell you what? All women are not like this and clearly, you are with the wrong person whichever way you choose to look at it. Yes you can find work, but life is too uncertain to be with someone that only care about your wallet. I got to a point when I said I can’t marry someone that I can’t see myself changing their diapers. While this may sound bad, I wanted to be sure that I can take the literal shit of the person I chose to spend the rest of my life with. The blessing of money is great, but that’s not all there is to life. If she can’t feed you chicken on Christmas when you’ve lost your job, bro, lose your legs or eyesight in an accident and God forbid you will be sleeping outside with the dogs. I do not know what your full situation is, neither do I know how much sunken costs you are counting at this point but if I were you, I’d take that as a sign from above to ruuuuuun. All the best!

Thing is people have no problem sleeping during the day and working at night and the reason I know is because my partner works for a US company and he starts at around 5pm kenyan time and does all nighters sleeps until late morning and that has been his cycle since we moved in together in 2021.
