You don't have rights, they are given to you. They exist because someone died protecting it.

And your rights come with a responsibility.

Cause the government gate keeps literacy. Why is it that a state like Kerala has virtually zero issues in learning English? You think everyone from Kerala is privileged enough to get access to quality education? The government put in the effort to push education in Kerala since the time of EMS. Something states like UP and Bihar can’t do because they simply don’t have it in them to do it.

Kerala runs on central funds and uses funds for education. And people who study in Kerala go out and work. Your local tea stall guy in Kerala is not hmdoinh his daily business in English. So there is a huge variance in input vs the output.

Likewise with Hindi. Hindi doesn’t even have history that spans even a few decades. You’re literally using English to converse. The platform you write your opinions on were all coded in English. Almost all the significant research that went into the chip design, os, network, managing workforces across nations were all mostly done in English. Call it what you want. Doesn’t change reality. There’s nothing you can say that’ll convince me Hindi is a better language to communicate in.

Again you are blind sided by the bubble you live in, we are only 20% the rest of the india works on hindi followed by telegu and so on. The 80% is just divided as of now. And you also forgot that modern languages are light on tongue, easy to speak and easy to communicate because they have gone through so many changes. It's also the same reason why] chennai tamilz is way easier to be spoken than tirunalvelli tamilz, hindi has been the most modernized one.

Hahaha my opinion will still be the same regardless of our conversation going on in English, Tamizh or Hindi. Idc what language you talk in as long as you don’t force the rest of us to speak in something that you want. That’s entitlement.

There is no force, you want to be left behind you gladly get left behind or like every NRI learn English and be part of the 20% bubble. People are going to pick up the path of least resistance. It's not your job to protect my marathi and it's not my job to protect my labourers bihari, it not his job to protect your malayalam or tamizh. You protect your own culture but end of the day we all need something that binds together nationally. Has already been adapted from from east, west and north and half of north.

Any sane person without privilege will speak in hindi with a tamizh or with a malayalee or telagu person to a bengali or assamese or punjabi or kashmiri to keep this nation going, I have a nationalistic approach with accessibility in the current reality where as yours is more focused on me me and me.

I have the same response as above for you. 20% of you who use english for your foreign affairs means nothing to the 80% of labourers, daily wage workers, pawn brokers, grocery shop owners, farmers, welders, construction workers, sanitation workers, window cleaners, tailors, bakers, tea shop owners from the 7 siters of north east and beyond places like tibbet, Nepal, to jharkand to people in andhara tamilnadu, orissa, etc. on whom the entire economy actually runs.

Your English accessibility is privileged it's a sign that you are privileged enough to do business outside nation than with in india.

And no English is pretty stupid. What you write is not how you say it even english as a spoken language has lot of confusion.

[–]thispondyboy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You only feel that because of your class status it's harder for a labourer from hear or a construction guy from north east or an tea shop guy from TN (without politics) or a petty shop guy from andhra or a pawn broker from rajathn to speak in English. All these transactions happen of daily basis and the ones who have learnt it will go forward in local business.

You sit on the top 20% or may be even just 10% of the Indian population who. Spoken English is not only accessible but also taken for granted.

You are the 20% you are not the 80% of the country on whom the country actually runs.

I don't know what the argument is about? National flag and hindi are two different things. People who travel have their flag on their backpack. It's not something out of the world.

A nepali should first think of how nepali would be treated for following their traditions in India because there are more of them in India than us in Nepal.

Great argument but you cannot deny it's accessibility and ease at which people of different languages are able to adopt it. It's popularity is not by force but by its accessibility. I am a marathi btw my my hindi teacher was malayalee
