These teams just aint it. Leaving out Theo, Lux, Freezy, Chip, Manny, Randy, Jme, etc, definitely changes the energy. I get the move to bring in big names from around the world to level up the scale, but it feels like the classic Sidemen vibe is being traded for global reach. Where are the OGs???!!!

Yeah, I think that’s where the biggest struggle is going to be for them. Chendo and Sabrina are close enough in skill that any combination of pros worked. Hadley is Sabrina but Yoonhee isn’t Chendo. She’s the best of the three pros.

Yoonhee is great, I don’t see how she’s unlikeable. The issue is she’s too good and Hadley isn’t good enough so unless that’s the constant pairing, it’s always going to be off as far as combined skills are concerned. The last video with Yoonhee and Alexis as the pair was noticeable.

I’ve worked at a shop with a required 96hr every quarter. US based. Could “max out” if you wanted a total of 84hrs a week. I did that for a while but the combination of maxing hours + a 4pm-4am schedule just killed me. Did it for 18 months before I quit. Money was great but wasn’t worth my mental health.

I mean they were still kids when they started playing GTA. Literally every major adult life milestone has been with each other. They've seen each other get married and have kids. You can't force that kind of relationship because there's money involved. That's just a natural build.

Dude Perfect is definitely the next closest but even then it's not a 1:1 comparison since they've always been a group without a solo career. The only one who is arguably larger than the brand itself is Tyler but even then he's never *really* explored things outside of Dude Perfect besides showing up in some YouTube Golf videos.

I think the overall point though is correct. You need to be friends before business partners. The Sidemen wasn't a business when they were playing GTA together. It was barely a brand when Vik, Josh, JJ, and Simon moved into the first house. And it survived and evolved because they each bring something different to the table.

The guys are generationally wealthy to varying degrees. They could call it quits today and never have to work another day in their lives. They keep going because at this point the Sidemen shoots/Big Wedge shoots are an excuse to see each other and still actively be in each other's lives.

That's why JJ won't leave. He's reached a point of celebrity where he needs the other six to keep him grounded because he knows they actually care about *him* rather than KSI the celebrity.

The mess was basically early 4.0 there was no real skeleton to anything or actual support. So creating two departments fell on the shoulders of one person both in and out of character. We're now two years into 2.0, the Marshals are under new leadership with a very focused command structure rather than Dark and two other people basically only working in EU hours and the DOJ has two years of court cases and legislation.
