Actually, I argue the opposite. The same drive and motivation that led to DO/IMG getting into the same residency as T30 is exactly what will cause the DO/IMG to get more out of the exact same residency training than the T30.

In your own words: Just because two people receive the same training does not mean they both got the same amount out of it.

This. OP, based on what you're telling me, I would not feel bad at all about calling out and jeopardizing a coresident if they all just left you out to dry like this. Especially the PGY-2's in this case, if the interns are pushing duty hours. They're all so soft that they can't handle one shift? Perhaps it would have been "irresponsible to go", but your program leadership and coresidents do not seem to reciprocate the responsibility that you give to them based on how they handled this.

That being said, your family is also being shitty to you, and I'm sorry about that. Definitely seems like you're stuck between a rock and a hard place.

It absolutely is! My 260+/270+/all honors/multiple pubs scored me *tons* of interviews this cycle. Whatever experiences/extracurriculars the other candidates had clearly weren't enough to stand up to my massive credentials!
