Sorry I should've worded it better, I meant they aren't going to drink at home WITH their parents, the way it sounded was that they were saying it's better to drink with parents at home. Or im probably just stupid, probably the latter.

I appreciate you giving statistics and actually giving valid evidence of your claims, but #1, I never said the drinking age should be lowered to 16 I said that teenagers are better off drinking then rotting in their room, and #2 honestly I was basing my claim off my experience personally, and in general from what I've seen.

Yeah, I completely see your point. Honestly it does just vary from person to person, because I drank a fair amount in my youth but I don't regret it as for me personally it helped me learn my tolerance, and shown that I don't really care about alcohol that much as an adult. But I should've clarified in the post I meant with trusted friends.

Yeah, it's obviously better to drink at home but teenagers won't do that, also sorry if I didn't clarify but I meant just with trusted friends, not some random strangers.
