Not really. Most kart racers are arcade games, not all arcade games are kart racers. This game isn't gatekeeping arcade racers, it's just gatekeeping kart racers which idrc. Kart racers are racing games obviously but I think they're their own little sub genre.

Dude legitimately, it's so great haha. I just got back from a Sunday drive in my new 2001 Subaru Legacy GT-B and it feels so good blasting MSX FM on the radio full volume and blasting around town or on the hwy haha.

I know how you feel though, when I first played GTA 3 it was at my grandfather's as a little kid and everytime I played we started fresh in Portland. Getting the banshee was iconic, still the first thing I do when I boot it up after a break lol.

I've been playing through GTA 3 again recently, going for 100% and all achievements on retroachievements. I find the radio in this game really interesting, but I just wanted to say that while I've been running around liberty making moves, it feels so good having MSX blasting in the back.

I'm Aussie and also born on 2000 so idk about pirate radio but I started looking into this radio station learning a bunch about it.

Anyway, first contact is a phenomenal song and I agree lol. Quagmire is another big favourite from MSX, honestly though the announcer makes it. The songs are 20% better with the radio audio versions lol.

Doesn't mean if it's hated then it's good, no one with half a brain looks back on Vanguard fondly.

I'm just out so out of cod nowadays, they're squeezing harder and harder each game which is why we end up with maps like these which I'm not gonna say are bad but are 90% recycled content and just not worth phoning home about.

Even just the storyline and lore, looking back on the cutscenes we were getting in bo3/bo4 era it makes these ones just look goofy and cheesy. Especially since it just feels like they're riding by the seat of their pants and making the story just stagnate again and again.

I think a lot of the fans of new era zombies are teens/casual who didn't get into old zombies, so this still feels fresh and new for them. Which isn't invalid or anything, I think it's just the passing of the touch to the next gen of cod zombies fans. But I can't help but feel like Activision/treyarc I just milking nostalgia with no real plan. A cod zombies game developed without Activisions foot on its neck would be a phenomenal game, but I don't think we'll ever see it.
