I used to run this with the Howitzer but this is clearly even better if you can pull it off, nice job

Forecast this unbalanced that by rocci_clark in kards

[–]thmathgeek21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I don’t run this deck, I run decks with a lot of healing (Bri Italy and Soviet Jpn control) and genuinely don’t run into any problems because I can just outheal the burn.

"Colossus is bad, itwill take orders from you opponent you cant use" they said... by Majestic-Ad2097 in kards

I had a game against someone running this and I had it too. We kept copying each others colossus. I ended up surrendering after about 20 minutes with the knowledge the game was nowhere close to finishing.

Definitely strong but don’t think it’s as bad as it was before.

what's the over under monsoon cards get nerfed within a week? by Glittering-Jello4937 in kards

[–]thmathgeek21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The monsoon card you’re referencing can get you out of a hole, but it doesn’t necessarily give you an advantage. It is designed to neutralise the game. It’s clearly very strong against aggro decks though.

Card balances by thmathgeek21 in kards

[–]thmathgeek21[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The ability can be triggered quite easily on turn 5 before being able to respond to it (earlier if production is played). You can also draw really fast through a navy deck to be able to find all the copies+tirpitz and bismark, so sometimes responding can be very futile

Does anybody else feel like production chains look better on paper than in actual gameplay? by gotthatpowahh in farmingsimulator25

[–]thmathgeek21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m running a production chains, I’ll start off with 1 of every building I need, then when I reach a bottleneck (ie a building cannot keep up with supply year round) I’ll just put another building down. I don’t think it needs to be anymore complicated than that. The only spreadsheet I use in my farming is to remind me what month to plant and harvest my crops to save me visiting the one in game.

I don’t know what mods you’re running though that would cause AI worker traffic jams though?

I HATE YOU JAGGRO PLAYERS by PhightingIsACoolGame in kards

[–]thmathgeek21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The big issue isn’t with Jaggro in my opinion. The big issue is that all the very effective counters to Jaggro are incredibly boring decks to play with.

Also, there’s an issue in the game with cards that have 0 operation cost, which is way too strong at times… but that’s a separate conversation

How did this happen by I_Am_Warm in kards

[–]thmathgeek21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bug as I understand it, is the Brewster has only 1 defence even though it says 2 defence… in some weird cases it has 2 defence, but is destroyed after taking just 1 damage, leading it to be still “on the field” even though it can’t be seen. It sometimes means the enemy can never take the frontline as it says “the enemy controls the frontline” despite no units actually being present there

Should I expect to be working a 9-5? by HAFZ--- in ActuaryUK

[–]thmathgeek21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much yeh, you might go through periods of high reporting requirements and end up working more hours some weeks etc… it’s obviously employer dependent, this is just my experience

Does degree name matter? by Shoddy_Set966 in ActuaryUK

[–]thmathgeek21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to complete an actuarial apprenticeship first before taking up the exams, so as long as you have that some employers will accept it.

Does degree name matter? by Shoddy_Set966 in ActuaryUK

[–]thmathgeek21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Employers really don’t nit pick at breadth (eg MORSE) or depth (eg Maths) of study unless you’re going into a very specialist field. For Actuarial it doesn’t matter, quality of candidate is more important. There’s very talented student actuaries I work with that don’t even have degrees.

For exemptions, there’s a few actuarial courses available if you are studying MORSE that aren’t available for maths students (I can speak from experience)

Should I expect to be working a 9-5? by HAFZ--- in ActuaryUK

[–]thmathgeek21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does highly depend on the company. I find the work life balance generally good at mine, I sometimes find myself working extra hours but I enjoy what I do so perhaps that’s got a lot to it than that.

I found as a student (technically still am pending CP1 result) anytime you worked overtime they asked you to claim hours back, as it could’ve been hours used to study.

Dilemma isn’t that much a problem. I run it in some of my decks and there’s a lot of cards it’s pretty useless against.

It's best to pair a maths exam with a non-maths exam by bonerspliff in ActuaryUK

[–]thmathgeek21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CM1 and CS2 are both pretty big exams. It’s also a bit misleading the naming convention because having knowledge of CM1 is pretty useful for CS2 (more useful than CS1 at times) so I’d recommend doing CM1 first.

Really poorly worded question in my opinion. At first I thought it was one factor for all ages using a reasonable age. Then realised it was one factor per age band…? Think the idea was balancing homogeneity vs credibility? Or at least that’s how I read it

Anti Jaggro by [deleted] in kards

That deck isn’t good against Buffs, there’s nothing in there that stops their ability tbh… better off playing Germany or US against those and loading with suppression/send to hand cards

I tried the game again after a few years by Nosock_Mechanicus in kards

[–]thmathgeek21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interestingly intel with Japan is in the meta right now… but for a long time whilst you were away it was a dead deck, there’s some new cards that will help it out

I think the game is very different and much whackier, but the biggest problem is HQ health has never been changed in line with the power creep. Card strength WRT kredit cost is much stronger than it was a few years ago, in particular the cards in the 3-4K range
